“After seeing my son so unhappy after EVERY haircut I took a chance and brought him to Mattew Alain after reading soooo many 5 star reviews. I gotta tell you, all those reviews are correct. My son was finally smiling after his haircut. They were so welcoming when we got there, like we were old friends. And they really took the time to listen to how this 13 year old wanted his full head of curls cut (not short!) and took their time doing it and showing him different angles multiple times. I was able to set up both hair and makeup trials prior to my wedding and they were always open to hearing what I liked or didn’t like. The day of the wedding they worked so well with my bridal party, they were super prepared and made the morning go so smoothly!“

I booked about a year and change out and leading up to the wedding Shaniqua provided by day of coordinator and myself a thorough timeline and was very patient with any changes we needed to make. Day of Shaniqua and her assistant arrived with ample time to set up and start promptly. Even with some delays they managed to get everyone done early! By the end of the night my hair barely lost any shaping/volume/etc. Shaniqua and her team are very professional, talented, and were a pleasure to be with on my wedding day!!“

“Nice clean place. Everyone was very friendly and had a smile, said hello as I walked in. I felt like I stepped back in time with how nice everyone was! Even the shopping strip had barn-like buildings and small shops, I felt like I traveled back in time when there was less congestion and crowds, just a small little forgotten section where everything moves a bit slower. Had nice shampoo, with a basic haircut and blow style. The place wasn't crazy busy which I liked. The surprising thing is that nobody was smoking outside the door and there was absolutely no cigarette smell! Even the products they use on your hair didn't have strong fragrances or were fragrance-free. They didn't use anything trendy, just basic. This is not a super trendy place, so if you want someplace relaxing and quiet, basic haircut, then this salon is for you.“
