My husband suffers from dementia. Since I work, it was so important to me to find someone who would not only look after him but would also care about how he goes through this journey. Our caregiver, Joan, is certainly that. But I have found that the other caregivers who work for Touching hearts and who have substituted for joan on occasion, are also excellent. Apparently, this company holds the bar high for its employees and looks for and hires the kind of person they would want in their own homes. I hope you will choose them for your loved one.

The staff at THAH really go the extra mile to meet our needs. They are unfailingly kind, caring, supportive, helpful, understanding, smart, thoughtful, and able to work with last-minute changes, unusual schedules, and everything else that's arisen. They return calls and emails very promptly and never ever drop the ball. They listen carefully, understand thoroughly, and act accordingly. The caregivers have also been wonderful. Before we found this place we thought all PCA agencies were the same--but that's not true. We love THAH and all its staff and employees so much.

I have been provided with excellent support for our family during the time we needed it. My Mom and I were pleased with the meal preparation and companion care. The support not only for my Mom, but it also provided relief as caregivers knowing my Mom was being well supervised. Communication and assessment to determine our needs was thorough and suggestions were wonderful. I highly recommend trying Touching Heart at Home NYC. It was a very positive experience for our family.
