The Village Veterinarian, now under new management, merges traditional Western veterinary medicine with holistic healing principles like behavioral and dietary counseling, acupuncture, homeopathy, and herbal remedies. Recently, customers have highlighted the compassion and professionalism of Dr. Mohr and her staff, noting how they treated pets with dignity and respect. Many are grateful for the care their pets received, especially during difficult times. However, some customers still have concerns regarding the effectiveness of treatments, mentioning issues such as pets not being fully healed or having missing vaccinations. While the office environment is friendly and accommodating, there have been reports of rushed examinations and a lack of thorough explanations regarding pets’ conditions and treatment plans. The previous management was known for offering emergency appointments, but the new management has directed clients to seek care elsewhere during emergencies. Dr. Moscovitz and Nina are no longer part of the team. Despite mixed reviews, many customers appreciate the unique combination of healing modalities, while others express confidence in the new staff, particularly praising Dr. Kimberly Pueblo for her knowledge of both natural and traditional treatments. Overall, The Village Veterinarian has received positive feedback, especially regarding the care provided to beloved pets.
I recently moved from Ireland to New York with my 7 year old rescue Greyhound, Picasso. He doesn’t particularly love going to the vets and I needed to get him a vaccine. From the first email I sent to East Village Animal Clinic explaining how nervous and timid Picasso can be they put me at ease. Picasso has been to the clinic twice now for vaccinations and both times every single member of staff we’ve interacted with from the receptionists to the vet nurses to veterinarians have been so patient and friendly. Great clinic!
My dog has been a patient of EVAC (formerly Village Vet) for over a year. I’ve met essentially all of the staff and everyone is so kind, patient, and understanding. My rescue dog is terrified of even walking in, but they’re always so accommodating & gentle with him. Dr. Meltzer, KaryAnn, Juan, Amanda, etc. thank you! Can’t recommend enough in the neighborhood.
Great experience at EVAC. Dr Meltzer listened and answered my questions. He got down on the floor to calm my anxious pitties and explained the treatment that I needed to continue at home till I actually understood it. Further more I didn’t feel robbed when I paid the bill. I finally found a Vet I can trust, one who actually loves his patients!
