For years, I unknowingly dealt with endometriosis, with symptoms primarily affecting my gastrointestinal system. The pain grew worse over time, but at age 22, I was dismissed by a doctor who attributed it to nothing more than hemorrhoids. Fast forward to age 37 [15 years], -- during a hysterectomy for fibroids, my surgeon noted what in his words was a ‘mild case’ of endometriosis. He advised me to do nothing about it and to ‘leave it alone’. However, my symptoms persisted, and after extensive research and a recommendation from a dear friend, I decided to see Dr. Seckin.

My experience with Dr. Amanda Chu for my initial consultation was absolutely amazing! From the moment I stepped into her office I felt incredibly validated and understood.She took the time to educate me thoroughly and answered all of the very many questions I had. I left feeling optimistic knowing that I’m not crazy and that there is a plan in place to get me the help I need. The staff is also incredibly nice as well. 10/10 would recommend.

Seckin Endometriosis Center has changed my life. After years of being rejected by doctors and struggling for someone to believe in my pain enough to operate on me (many said I was too young to have endometriosis or severe pain), I finally came across this clinic. Not only did Dr. Chu hear me out, but she validated my pain and experiences from our very first conversation. I knew I had to fly in to NYC to meet with her and follow through with the procedure right away. Throughout the entire process everyone was so kind and I truly felt cared for (office staff, assistants, surgeons, anesthesiologist, nurses, hospital staff).
