So rude and entitled. The manager is very chauvinistic and petty. I live in the building right above that owns the whole entire property including his. Every time I walk my puppy by the salon he walks out and telling me she cannot potty in front or around the building (wr were just walking g by). He stood out like he's a security guard, staking out his small sidewalk watching every single dog that passed by. With that being said, Every single time that I pass by the salon at stenches buy cigarette smoke. When he sees me, he stands outside and yelling at me, saying it's his property. I confirmed with my building, and the indeed they said it's our property and he has no right to the sidewalk, even though he claim's it does. Literally when you are infront or walk into the salon it reeks of cigarette smoke yet he decides that dog urine outside is more offensive. So petty not a way to bring in more business to your salon since majority of New Yorkers have dogs that walk by his property every single day I can only imagine the service that's taking place in the salon if he's this reactive with the people walking by his salon with the dog.

I went to Svetlana to try a Keratin treatment for the first time, and very glad I did! She treated my hair with Global Keratin for curly hair, and the result was a smother and more defined texture to my hair. Wish I had my before photo to upload for comparison, but basically I had very dry and tangled hair after treating it with bleach, and even washing my hair was a nightmare. After this treatment I can easily run my hands or my brush through my hair, and it has never felt softer or smoother. Svetlana says the treatment will last 4-5 months. So glad I went in for this treatment, worth every penny, thank you Svetlana!

Been there several times....only for blow dry ( no cut/colour)! I found somewhere else in the neighborhood. Saying that it is no frills is an understatement. The owners Robert and Svetlana do nothing to make the place the least bit appealing. It really is a mess....looks like it has not been remodeled since 1970. They are loud, pushy and blast Russian music. I guess they never heard about playing to the audience? They are very shady when it comes to prices; there is nothing posted. They make up prices based on who they know, etc... By law, prices should be posted and visible to clients. They charge NYS taxes on charges, but not cash transactions? If you add tip, they tax the tip. The products used are cheap, and they have no supplies. It is insane! I have witnessed the very pretty, sweet woman who works there run out to CVS to buy what looked liked basic bobby pins. I saw the name "Irine" mentioned in other posts. Wish I had gone to her more than once....she's a professional, sweet and very good! She must be related because there is no other logical reason for her to be working there. She also seems capable of tuning them out, and doing her work. The place is also not sanitary. I have no idea why anyone would get a manicure or pedicure there. There is a nail salon on every corner. I carefully watched an older woman get a basic pedicure ( the only type) and the sink was never sterilized after; just water and dried. Definate NYS DOH dream. They also use the manicure table as their lunch table....oh, so gross! There is also no privacy. I was getting hair washed next to a woman getting toe nails clipped and while waiting watched another get her underarms plucked. Really disturbing. That was it for me!!! Wanted to run with shampoo on hair. Ladies, be careful...Robert is a skirt chaser, and a total creepster! Guess he's bored. Always on phone/ lingering outside. Bothers women in front of his wife ( think they are married). She acts sweet, then takes no accountability/apologies for her mistakes. They are in it for the almighty dollar, and if you have an issue, they'll blame you and do not care if you ever come back. I've witnessed them basically abusing a woman and her daughter over prices/service provided. I dislike knocking a Mom n Pop business, but I further dislike seeing people get ripped off and even more importantly the unsanitary conditions. Perhaps, Robert should get some Clorox and Lysol wipes and start cleaning instead of yapping on phone in Russian while Russian music/videos entertain him, and not the customers. One star is for the attractive, professional woman. She should seek employment somewhere more upscale....unless she is their daughter and stuck:( Research the area... you will find way better!
