This place provided me a soft place to land. Loving kindness from everyone there. I love the sivananda sequence. They let me come in late and I was not made to feel less than. An oasis in a very lonely city.

yoga wise and people wise, it's really, really good. I think Sivananda Yoga is now The best in NYC for traditional hatha yoga = yoga that emphasizes relaxing slow fully body stretching and doing so with deep calming body limbering breath work.the practice room is really clean, and I mean that both in the literal way (not a speck of dust anywhere which is esp important when doing deep cleansing and restorative breathing exercises) and also clean energy wise which is what you need when the goal of practicing yoga is to decompress and expel tension. only negative is the dressing room powder rooms are obv too small.

Fast forward, I have since...read full review
