Had to ensure this place knew how to cut asian hair since asian hair generally grows straight out which can have a bad cow lick if not cut properly, or have a "mushroom effect." The guy (Shur) on the phone assured me that he knows what my concern was and that he could squeeze me in despite his schedule being fully booked. Showed up 10 minutes after the call, and he took me in 15 minutes after the guy sitting on the chair.Shur does not lie when he says he understands my concern and gave me a clean mid fade just as i asked - no mushroom, no cowlick problem. Just got one of the best haircuts/shaves/massages ever from this barbershop. Carmen did a fantastic job - you can tell she takes pride in her work and she has an excellent eye for little details. Very sharp cut. Highly recommend!

Boris has been my barber for the last 8 years and has never disappointed. There is nothing fancy, but a simple, convenient and affordable place with skilled and experienced barbers. Boris is incredibly efficient and skilled. I highly recommend this upper east side gem for men's haircut.
