I have followed my hairdresser, Alessandro, to all the salons he has worked at, including his own and now John Barrett. No one does a better haircut and blow dry — worth every penny!In addition, the ambience of John Barrett Salon is first-class: clean, spacious, well-ventilated, high ceilings. Perfect location. Gracious service as well, with clients always asked if they’d like coffee, tea, water, etc.I intend to keep coming — a splurge with Alessandro at this salon is good for the soul!

This may sound extreme, but John Barrett’s salon changed my life. I have always had difficulty finding a haircut and color that was easy to manage and looked great after a few weeks. I finally found hairstylists that know how to cut my hair and I am now a customer for life. The salon is spacious, the staff is friendly and goes over the top to make you feel comfortable and taken care of. I miss John as a person and as a master stylist, but his standard of excellence has not waned.

This has to be the BEST salon in NYC! The service is impeccable! You are greeted like royalty and every single staff member takes pride in being a part of the team. Of course the best part is the skill and professionalism of the stylists! I started going there after a disastrous experience in another salon and was amazed that Danielle and Christoff not only salvaged the cut and color, they made my hair look the best is has in the last ten years! So healthy and fresh! Friends and family remarked on the transformation. I have never looked back and will never leave JBS!
