Charles Gomez should be reported to the IRS. I've requested copies of my tax returns that were filed by my x-husband. Was told they would be sent. He lied about having COVID to avoid his clients and showed up in the office the same day per the front desk. Hired an attorney who could not track him down. He created a fake consulting firm in my name without my knowledge and listed it on our tax return. My signature was forged on documents filed with the IRS. I'm still trying to unwind from the mess he's made. Avoid this accounting firm!!

I've had Mark prepare my taxes for the last two years and never ran into any issues until now. I filed my taxes this past March 2021, and things seemed normal. However, my federal income taxes were filed, but Mark insisted we wait to file my NYS taxes; big mistake. After two months of emailing, texting, calling both his cell number and office number, he decided to respond. He told me, "Sorry for the delayed response... was neck-deep in taxes and extensions." Fast forward to June, and I finally received my state tax refund, only for it to be $1100 less than expected. For about two weeks now, I've been reaching out to Mark, and the only help he's provided was a screengrab of the NYS hotline. This situation is very disappointing because I liked working with Mark, but it seems like it's time for me to seek another CPA.
