I found Knosis because a gentlemen with a torn labrum in his hip wrote a glowing review about this practice. My injury is similar to his but more complicated . When I came here at the end of March I had been to 4 different PTs with almost no improvement. I could barely walk and daily activities were stressful and probably painful. I met for an evaluation with Tracey V, the owner, and Rebecca Gordon, one of the PT's. Tracey is very knowledgable as well as extremely kind and empathetic. Tracey is the only PT I have met with who truly understood WHY i was not getting better. She found the hard to spot muscle deficiences in my hip and we immediately started working on turning those muscles back on. After the first month of working with tracey and rebecca, I began going to Rebecca G twice a week. She is truly gifted at recommending the correct exercise for your specific problem . There are no boiler plate exercises here. Everything is customized to you. She also has the keenest eye of any PT ive been to in regards to exercise form. She will get you to use your muscles in the CORRECT way, bringing balance and harmony to your body. We have now gotten to the point that im starting to golf again and im getting back to living a normal life. I highly recommend KNOSIS and Rebecca Gordon!

Knosis has been an oasis for me since moving to Manhattan. In many ways it is the only place in the city which is truly regenerative and restorative for my body. I came in with a torn labrum in my hip, in chronic, severe pain, unable to get comfortable in any posture besides laying on my back. Within three or four visits the pain had significantly subsided, due to both hands-on manual therapy and simple exercises I could follow at home. Shortly after we began restrengthening and stabilizing the surrounding muscle groups. I have had the good fortune of working with Tracey who is an angel, just an amazing person to have in your life and an incredibly gifted healer and therapist. Tracey also helped set me up with another extraordinary body worker, who similarly deserves the utmost praise and recognition, Lexie. She teaches pilates out of knosis, and together, the two of them coordinated on the best plans for my particular needs, and it has been nothing short of transformative. I simply cannot recommend knosis enough. I am so grateful for having been introduced to Tracey through some dear friends.

Knosis is THE BEST!! They have amazing physical therapists and the clinical Pilates instructors are so knowledgeable about anatomy that working with them is like having additional physical therapists (I highly recommend Jenny and Molly)! Knosis helped me with my herniated disks, my hip bursitis, my neck, my tendinitis, my knee arthritis--everything. I have underlying Lyme disease (and the joint problems that go with it) and I had did not have luck with traditional physical therapists who only treat one area. At Knosis, they work with the whole body. Tracey (the owner) was my first holistic PT and she helped me so much. I was doing traditional herniated disc treatments -- steroids, facet injections--and getting nowhere. I don't usually leave rave reviews but this place deserves more than five stars. :)
