I don’t typically leave reviews, especially negative ones, but I was disappointed by the services I received the other day. The nail tech did a decent job on my pedicure, but refused to do a proper scrub of my feet during a pedicure, nearly just wiping the pumice on the outer edges of my feet, but not bothering to do my heels even after being asked. The gel manicure I received was subpar; uneven filing of the nails, messy gel around the cuticles, messy top coat, and certainly not worth the $45 I paid for it. First time going there post covid and the bad reviews are warranted.
The place is still clean and the staff was polite. However the services are now overpriced and the quality lacking. Like other reviewers said, don’t bother getting a pedicure, you will get the shortest (45 seconds max per foot) and lightest foot scrub ever and if you want a proper scrub you need to pay $15 extra. That’s just wrong. They used to give a good scrubbing with leg massage, all included in the price of the standard pedicure. I understand that things have changed post covid and businesses are struggling to stay afloat, but this is not the way to go.

I LOVE this place. I have been getting my nails done by Monica since she worked on 96th St. in 2005. I don’t live in the area and there are lots of nail shops right on my block, but I come up here because Chic Nail and Spa is clean and everyone is so nice. I’ve had my nails done by other manicurists there and I am always happy with it. The music is nice and soothing as well❤️
