I can't recommend Apple Repair Club highly enough. My Macbook was stolen and in a remarkable stroke of luck, the police found it and returned it. Whoever stole it wiped it clean, and another data recovery place was very pessimistic about recovering anything. Puru wanted to give it a try, so I FedExed it to him. He recovered everything. Along the way, he was very helpful over e-mail, and he was extremely helpful once I picked up the Macbook and tried to reformat it and put the old data back on. Puru works by himself and loves what he does, and he's patient and amiable with customers. His customer service was far above what anyone should expect. I was overwhelmed by the options when I started researching data recovery technicians, and I had nothing to go on but reviews in selecting one. I'm so glad I picked Puru. I know he does other kinds of work on Apple technology, but I don't have any experience outside data recovery on a Macbook. However, if he feels like something is not the job for him, he will tell you so. One data recovery company was all over me with phone calls and e-mails after one informal inquiry, acting like I had already agreed to give them the job and aggressively pressuring me to send them my Macbook. Puru is not greedy about getting work the way other places are.
