We had a very positive experience with 1DayWall. We reached out via email and received a response almost immediately from the owner. We requested (insisted on, perhaps) an on-site visit– which we understand is not the norm– and he made this happen and showed up on time! We were under extraordinary circumstances with a very limited timeframe in which to complete the entire scope of what we needed and we were pleasantly surprised that 1DayWall arranged for, procured the materials for, and completed both a wall and a proper closet that same week, effectively converting our loft-style studio into a proper 1 bedroom. 1DayWall helped us order a custom door, which was delivered about a week ahead of schedule and even though the plan called for a barn door, we changed our mind and decided it should be a pocket door instead– with no acrimony or haggling for it to happen. The end result is truly that what was a large studio for 17 years was transformed overnight into a one bedroom apartment and the promise of what we imagined when we purchased almost two decades ago was finally fulfilled. There was an element of humanity and understanding rarely present (at least in our experience) throughout the oft-terrible NYC contractor experience– we got what we asked for and then some– including fulfilling several unplanned changes and fixing what we perceived as issues without a lot of heartache. It is as a refreshing change to have the owner of a contracting business actually check in on the progress of his crew (we are realistic in our expectations that the owner will not be at the job site 24/7, but he did make his presence and interest in our satisfaction well known).
