I'm insanely picky about how my hair is cut, so when I say these guys are the best in NYC, I mean it. I had a scissor cut done by Tim the other day, and he was immediately ready to meet my expectations and how I wanted it cut. The cut went smooth and in no time I was out the door with a way cleaner look. From now on when I'm in the city, I know exactly who to go to. I cannot stress enough that 12 Pell and Tim specifically are at the top of their game.

Booked a last minute appointment - it’s hard to find a spot, but they’re popular for a reason!
I got my hair cut by Jon. He was professional, relaxed, and an excellent listener who was able to see one picture and recreate it almost perfectly (and arguably improve it!). He also explained some features of my specific hair (tendency to stick up, areas to pay attention to. etc.,) and recommended a great product without pushing or selling it.
It’s pricier than the Chinese salons surrounding it, but worth every penny to me. I would come back if I need another haircut in NYC, and would definitely recommend to friends.

Haircut pretty pricey, although for some reason they make you tip on the appointment website when you haven't even received the cut yet. When I arrived at the location they told me my barber was at a different location, there may have been technical issues as I did not receive a text. My barber started rushing when his next customer arrived and did not feel the haircut was worth it for me for the price, personally. Staff were nice tho.
