Had an awful experience here. Both doctors have their wives working here. I've experienced a lot of rudeness from the wives. When I got contacts, Dr. Glass asked his wife to assist me by teaching me how to put contacts in. I had barely made any attempts and she was already very frustrated with me and scolding me. She failed to actually teach me how to use them, so I ended up wearing the samples backward in my eyes for a week and they kept falling out. I lost a day of work b/c my contact fell out at the start of the day. I was so upset. I spent well over $500 out-of-pocket for contacts, glasses, and the exams. When I asked one of the wives for an itemization of the costs,...read full review

Worst experience ever, cheap quality glasses, and bad customer service!! The reason I went to Dr. Kenneth Glass at 1915 New Hyde Park Road NY, was because I had blurry vision since I spent a lot of time on my PC at work. He first gave me a prescription for +75 on 4/21/2018. This place owns its own glass store. So his wife Mrs. Ora Glass made me the glasses for this prescription which cost for $540. The glasses have warranty until end of 5/3/2018. I wore these glasses for two weeks and had to go back to Dr. Glass because I started having really bad head aches after I wear them for a while. Dr. Glass diagnosed me again on 05/8/2018 and gave me a new prescription for +50 and they changed the lenses for me. However, the headaches only got worse as I was wearing them again. I also started having problems with reading long distance. So I visited an ophthalmologist at queens hospital, and they did my eye test and said I have a perfect 20:20 vision and that I don't need to wear any glasses. They said that it was the glasses that got me the headaches. They diagnosed me with allergic conjunctivitis and prescribed me artificial eye drop for eye tears because I do not blink much when Im using the computer. I stopped using the glasses and started using the eye drops which actually helped with my blurry vision and I can see the long distance perfectly. So I made appointment with Dr. Glass again and explained his wife Mrs Ora Glass everything and asked for a refund for my glasses . She made me an appointment for recheck up again. But she skipped my appointments twice on purpose and this guy is only available on Tuesdays. So I went on the day of my appointment which is before the warranty of my glasses ends, but she asked me to come on another day. I decided to wait for seeing him and so after 2 hours of wait I got to see Dr. Glass. He said I have to pay again for the diagnosis since its past one year. I asked why would they ask me to buy a glass when I did not need one. He said there are no more refunds even if I return the glasses back. He kept arguing with me and completely ignored me and took in another customer. I paid $600 for glasses that I barely used and I never will use again. He refused to see me unless I pay him again. I told them I have the proof of diagnosis from queens hospital. They said they do not care for that. I did not want to spend any more dollar at this place because I had to pay out of pocket. Both the husband and wife CHEATED me for $600. My mom also had her glasses done here which also cost $500 and her glasses broke every two weeks, so we had to fix it 3 times with Mrs Ora Glass. Their glasses are simply over priced and cheap quality. STAY AWAY!!

Been going to Dr. Glass and his wife Ora for over thirty years! If there's two more competant or nicer people, please let me know. Honest, patient and caring. Joyce in the office is also outstanding!
