I’m going to give two reviews in one both a parent and patient review. As a parent of a child with hearing loss watching my child struggle during the pandemic hasn’t been easy. You see my son relies on a hearing aid and a cochlear implant and while both devices help him tremendously they are not the end all be all and so my teen also relies on things like lip reading and facial expressions to help fill in any missing gaps in information. Queue the pandemic and suddenly everywhere you go from school to your favorite book store and everywhere in between everyone is wearing masks which make lip reading non existing. As a parent seeing this struggle has been difficult to watch and week after week month after month the one place it’s been easy from visit number one is Ellis Family Chiropractic. My son has been seeing Dr. Adam on a weekly basis since September and starting on visit number one and every visit since then Dr. Adam has very effortlessly and seamlessly made sure Jaden could hear and understand him. Sometimes the little things are not so little. Facing him, making sure Jaden is looking at him, tapping him when he is done adjusting him and more. Dr. Adam has gone above and beyond to make sure Jaden is at ease and when you’re going somewhere so often knowing that it won’t be a struggle for your child is peace of mind. Parent Review 10 stars out of 5! As for the patient review. We were recently recommending Ellis Family Chiropractic to someone and they asked Jaden “I know why mom likes them, but why do you like them?” Jaden thought about it and then replied “Well, for the same reasons as mom, but also because Dr. Adam talks to me. I mean he talks to mom too, but his questions are to me. You know sometimes a lot of doctors don’t talk to the kids, they talk to the moms and dads when really the kid is the patient and they should probably talk to them and also because it used to hurt when I stand up straight and now it doesn’t and my back feels good when we leave” and if that isn’t a 10 star review I don’t know what is.
