I was brought to Montefiore Mt Vernon after a car accident. I got prompt, professional care. The nurses and doctors were very attentive and gave great care. I was very happy with my care here.

I take my mom here and everyone is friendly. This hospital gets a bad rap from their past. Mt. Vernon needs this hospital so the people in Mt.Vernon should be doing what they can to keep it in Mt.Vernon. The doctors are knowledgeable about her condition and what they can’t handle they send her to their colleagues at the Bronx location.

My mother had a hysterectomy here and thank god for the wonderful woman who is her doctor. However the treatment of my mother by PACU nurse and the communication to me was HORRIBLE. No one came out to me to give me any update on my mother. I managed to stop her doctor who was surprised by this notion nonetheless she “tried” to take me to her in the PACU. The nurse there immediately started screaming at me and the doctor to get out. I explained to her that no one had updated me on anything I just wanted to make sure she was okay.
