Ishmael’s workers came in force -at least 4 workers the first day to remove the old carpet, linoleum & to begin the refinishing of the wood floors for my entire two bedroom apartment. I had a large old water stain under the linoleum & Ishmael was up front that his workers could lighten the discoloration (originally black in color) but would not be able to remove the damage.The second day, two workers came & fine tuned the refinishing & then applied the water based polyurethane finishes. Day 3 was drying. I had 4 small pieces of furniture to move & Ishmael’s crew helped relocate the furniture till the project was done & placed the pieces back in their original locations...read full review
I've hired Ishmael to work on my floors twice - once to refinish all my floors right after buying the house, and once a few years later to restore a section of hardwood flooring that been covered in tiles, including filling in gaps where there used to be a wall, and replacing some planks that were damaged beyond repair.
He did amazing work both times. The floors are a highlight of my home. He's easy to communicate with, shows up on time, and does what he promises. I will continue to call him and refer him to my friends.
Refinished floors and did spot repairs. Extremely patient and communicative. When I had a question about the work he did, he took the time to come over and explained the exact mechanics of how he replaced the floor and why he did it.
