“I am very grateful for Ranshaw helping me out of a horrible situation with my oil burner. I had purchased a new oil burner a month earlier with my oil company. Since it was installed it wasn't working correctly in starting and stopping continuously all day. That is called short cycling caused by an oversized oil burner. “Fast service 7 days a week. Called on a Sunday morning and by noon a technician arrived to clear my main sewer drain. He immediately went right to the problem are and cleared the stoppage. Options for additional cleaning of the cast iron pie, such as enzymes designed to not harm the cadt iron and to dissolve deposits costing the interior of the pipe were discussed and were conveyed very clearly. The technician and dispatcher were very courteous and profession, as well as accommodating. Prices were very reasonable considering it was a Sunday service. They quoted 30% lower than Rudco, BUT they didn't address my 1950s galvanized water main line to house.Rudco's quote covered the full job - doing it right. Steve at Rudco said he would not do it any other way than the right way, as if it was his own house. Steve said there was risk that a valve-only job could fail.So I went with Rudco. They did a great job, and didn't even need to dig up the grass or disturb anything - using a mechanical extruder to replace the line.
