From the Ground Up: Spring Wellness Retreat at Indian Brook Lodge, was curated and hosted by Samantha and Trevor of Yana Yoga. From arrival on Friday night to departing on Sunday evening, the whole weekend was infused with their love and care. Carefully thought-out offerings included yoga, cold plunging in the brook, Kirtan by the fire, breathwork, a sound bath, and a chakra workshop. The weekend was kicked off with an incredible dinner by Chef Humble, a meal that we were still talking about on Sunday. All the meals were healthy, homemade, and delicious. (but everything in moderation- there was wine and s’mores too)The weekend was well balanced between class/workshop offerings and down time to rest and recharge with activities of your own choosing. The house was beautiful, with a large front room with views of Lake George. In between activities, there was a comfortable mix of quiet reading or journaling on the comfy couch, standing on the deck soaking in the sun and listening to the rushing brook, or chatting with others at the kitchen table. There were also additional offerings available right on site- facial with a local esthetician, or reiki with Sam. Each part of the itinerary was completely optional, and our hosts made sure that we felt welcomed and supported to participate and try each offering, but never pressured to join in anything we did not choose to.My favorite part of the weekend was the crystal bowl sound bath with Sam. I also really enjoyed learning more about the Chakras during Ellen’s workshop, and I completed my first cold plunge with Trevor. Sam and Trevor were present with us all weekend, and they freely shared their wealth of knowledge about the benefits of each practice, the mind and body and how they work together. The whole weekend was intentional- starting with Grounding, next to Reset and Purify, and finally to Renew -our whole beings. I am already looking forward to the next retreat.

So this is my second time getting the Keratin treatment done by Jen - another amazing job! I highly recommend her because she is experienced and educated on the keratin process. After multiple washes my hair still feels AMAZING and the frizz is practically gone! I would also recommend using the keratin shampoo and conditioner. It definitely makes a difference. Jen is down to earth and a fun conversationalist which made the few hours fly by!:) Thanks for taking such good care of me, I’ll be back soon!

You get a good haircut and a fair price. This is a good guy who was victimized by the other barbers whom he trusted. It's not my story to tell, but let's just say in America today we need to stand on principle and there are things that are right and things that are wrong. This is one of the good guys and he is rebuilding. That being said, you get a good haircut at a fair price and you are supporting an ethical small family business.

Will is an excellent trainer. I feel stronger and more confident with each session . He is so motivating and knowledgable with not only training but nutrition too.If you are willing to put in the time he will get you to your fitness goals.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Halpin and every single person that works in her office. My daughter struggled with contacts and it took several hour long office visits before we finally had success. They were so kind, patient and compassionate and truly went above and beyond for us!!! They are incredible and I highly recommend!!!!!
PCI came to Michigan making bank on a mega project paying locals the lowest paid wage in our state. while our locals out perform their travelers work 3 to 1 in every category, they earn 3x what our men and woman do a week. Their guys are lazy sloppy hacks who expect the lowest paid locals to train and clean up after the poor workmanship of the lazy hacks they bring to our state. Half of their foreman can't read prints. They cut corners to make more money by NOT hiring labor union workers with the mentality that our young apprentice are cheaper. Their culture is to be take advantage of the system, and cut corners on material whenever and wherever they can. That's the company you've got here.
I’ve been to 5 other shops in the area and this is the best! Sam is friendly yet professional, and the quality of cuts is top notch. The shop is clean, quiet, and comfortable.

I wouldn’t go elsewhere for my eye care needs! It’s easy to get an appointment and they offer later hours for folks working a 9-5 some evenings which is a huge plus. The optician, Gary, is extremely accommodating and friendly. I was on vacation and had a contact lens emergency and he was able to get me replacements over night and this saved the trip. I highly recommend agape for both contacts and eyeglasses as well as any specialty sportswear items that are eye related! Thank you!
