“We would definitely have Elite Roofing work on our building again! I wish that I had found them years ago. Elite has been a really great company to work with, they are very good with their communication, they have the knowledge, they have a great team and are all hard workers. I am the president of our condo association and finding good companies/tradespeople has been difficult. Our building has had an on & off leaking issue for years. Water was finding its way down into our garage and of course causing serious damage along the way. We've had people try different times and ways to flash, and after a recent construction project to fix damage, all of that flashing was torn up and the leaking was back. Elite Roofing was actually recommended by another professional that did not come to our area. He said he had heard good things about Elite. After looking at their website and their great reviews, I called. Sophie and Karyn are in the office and have been absolutely great to talk to and a pleasure to work with. I even stopped by their location and they were very welcoming, sweet and made me feel comfortable. Al was the one who initially talked to me about our problem. He heard about our situation and needed to get hands and eyes on our patios to inspect. This is exactly what I wanted to hear...we needed someone to not just look at things from the outside, but dig a little deeper to investigate. Other places we called only looked and didn't take anything apart and gave their thoughts and pricing. That was a great first sign to me and we hired them for this first step. Al was also confident and assured me that they will get to the bottom of the problem and take care of it. Al, Mike, Pedro & Brent were the first to come out and do the inspection. They were all great! They took things apart, actually looked underneath the siding, and really investigated. Once Al came up with his theories and a plan, our condo association hired them for the big job. The booking process was easy and we were even able to do a video call with Al prior to the booking to go over his plan, discuss what needed to be done, and ask our questions. When the time finally came for the job to start, there was a whole crew that came. Everyone was great! Al, Mike, Pedro & Brent were there again which was wonderful because they were the ones who first laid eyes on the problems. Vinny, Pablo, J, and Charlie and one or two others also joined over the course of the project. It really felt like we were being taken care of! Everyone on the Elite team was wonderful, they were very nice, always willing to explain things, fine with us watching the process and just overall and great team! They all have a good camaraderie with each other. Mike, Vinny and Pedro even came back in the rain to close up a bunch of stuff to make sure it didn't get even more drenched over the weekend. And, they stuck to the time that Mike told us the day before, I was pleasantly surprised. We had a punch list of little things that needed to be done to complete and finish everything up and they were able to come back much sooner than I thought and they accomplished them. So far, with all the rain we have gotten, there hasn't been any signs of leaking! That is the biggest goal...stop the leaking! And, of course time will tell with water being so tricky, but I am very hopeful and positive that what Elite has done has been the answer to our problems! Karyn and Sophie even called to check on us to see if there has been any leaking and assured us that even if we do see any leaking, we should call them right away so they can take care of us. This of course makes me feel really good and that we, as their clients, are being taken seriously and being taken care of. I just want others to know what we were going through prior to Elite and how Elite has been a great company to work with in aiming to solve our problem. They are knowledgeable, responsive, hard workers, dedicated, the list goes on. We will most definitely be keeping them in mind for any of our roofing and exterior n“

“Earlier this week I called Vila around 11 am and requested emergency service for an Anderson window that I had somehow jammed open, perhaps broken while cleaning the panes.. Farouk told me he was at a Manhattan job until 4 and would come to Park Slope after. That he did! Exactly as promised! So exceptionally reliable and prompt service from the very beginning. While here, with an assistant standing by, Farouk quickly and efficiently got the window closed. He spent no more than 3 minutes on the the task. No charge! He understood it had felt like an emergency to me, with the dreadfully hot day and my inability to figure out what I had done. He was so kind in his manner. Then he patiently took the time to show me how the window works and how to tilt the panes inward, so as to clean them. I had long forgotten how to do that. He showed me twice, just so I could be sure to follow the process. No charge! In fact, many years ago when the windows were first installed and I had attempted to tilt them in for cleaning, I accidentally removed them entirely from the frame. Back then another Vila worker came and fixed them in minutes. No charge then either. That is why I had kept the business card. Contrast this to the many repairman cards I have thrown out over 21 years on Park Slope after the first encounter with their service. Vila is a gemstone. I will be using them for a long delayed repair on a screen door and feel more than happy to continue recommending them.“

“Carlos and his team are excellent professionals. We live in a 2 story historic building in Brooklyn, NY - flatroof, and originally I just noticed some leaks in the top floor and pooling in the back. They very gentle recommended to redo the roof - we did it - and discovered the roof was probably at least 60 years old! never replaced with no insulation. They quickly brought the supplies and did the roof in 1.5 days! A huge feat. They replaced the skylights as well and this whole time were in excellent communication and very good at problem solving. Sent estimate and invoice electronically and they stand by their word at the quality of their roofs. II highly recommend them. Super pro.“

It is not something he typically handles because of the window design, nor does anybody else for that matter, and yet he is going out on a limb for me. “I have been a customer of Frank's for over 20 years. In that time I have used him repeatedly as a homeowner and a condo board president. He has always done an excellent job. He put on a rubber roof, removing 6 layers of old roofing, on my home and put new roofing on my garage, he helped me solve a leak by my roof drain that eluded me for 10 years. He came when I had an emergency leak (in the winter) due to a change by another contractor attempting to solve that very leak. It has never re-occurred. He has done sheet rocking, wall insulation, cement work and windows all at a reasonable price. He stands by his work. For the condo building we had him replace crumbling stucco walls in a large air light shaftway with vinyl siding as well as replace the entire tiled roof with flat roofing material that had 35 rotten sheets of plywood due to icing under the tiles (wrong material for a roof without enough pitch). I cannot say enough for the quality and good prices that he offers.“
