i took my godson to little john hair place expecting to see a bunch of tykes getting hair cuts but what i saw in this narrow small hair place was mostly older gals getting their hair done by a nice friendly granddad looking barber. as i looked around i notice a young lad in the barbers chair getting a trim and now i can relax knowing i am in the right place. the barber is a real pro , not only with his scissors and comb but how he communicate with the little one while he does his magic. price for a kids hair cut is about 20 bucks and he takes his time doing his craft. my little godson looks great with his new hair cut and he didnt act up or give me a hard time while in the chair. 4 stars on my yelp meter for little johns hair shop on ditmars blvd in astoria

Came in on a rainy Monday looking for a trim, I walked in and Gio was in the middle of cutting a little boys hair, with the two other little ones who had just finished up. He really worked magic with those kids! No tears, had them laughing and they left with lollipops , smiles, and fresh haircuts! After they left he did me up and I couldn’t be happier. Great man, great spot, and great work! First time there but will definitely we coming back!
