“The reviews are correct - this is a great no frills affordable local spot. New to the area and after travelling a while I was desperate for a proper shampoo & cut. Stylist was attentive and very sweet. Added bonus for me - the store is filled with rodeo merch and fantastic boots. “I've been going to Kika for about 2 years now and I am so grateful I found them! Before that, I spent two years trying to find a good hair salon after moving to NYC in 2019, and there was a lot of disappointment. I've gone to both Ana and Leah, and they are both great. And everyone at the salon is so personable - they really get to know you and your hair.I get a Brazilian Blowout done about every three months, which is a precise and time-consuming process. Any other place I tried in NYC before finding Kika would have me out in an hour and a half and the quality never compared to what I get at Kika. I had two wonderful hairstylists in the last two places I lived and I missed them terribly when I first moved to NYC. I knew how the treatment was supposed to look on my hair, and every place I tried here would rush it and skip steps.
