I went to a family friend in Jersey (who is now in jail) and went through 2 very rigorous audits resulting in paying thousands of dollars (that I still don't believe I owed, but couldn't prove otherwise.) Fast forward several years.. when I moved to NYC I searched extensively to find an accountant I could trust. I was eventually referred to Jerry by a friend who was at the time in a precarious/complicated tax situation... Jerry helped him navigate that and he wholeheartedly referred Astoria Tax Service.
