“My contact with Color-age started with ordering samples of carpet for my L-shaped living/dining room. After narrowing down the samples to my first, second and third choices, I made an appointment to see Doris at the store in New Hyde Park. I also needed to paint the walls before the carpet was installed and I wanted all the work finished before my new furniture arrived. I had samples of my sofa and chair material and Doris helped me coordinate the carpet and paint colors with excellent suggestions. Then someone came to my house to measure for the carpeting and give me a quote for the paint job, the price of which I found to be on target with today's marketplace. Their painter, Miguel, did a fabulous job on the painting, as well as the prep beforehand, which included some crown molding needing repair and a wall in my hallway that needed fixing. He was fast, neat, and very courteous. Then the carpet people came with a crew of 5 men and the carpet was installed quickly. All-in-all I had a very good experience with this company and would use them again.“

“My husband and I redid our kitchen 3 months ago. One of our big decisions was what should we do with our terracotta floor, stain it or refinish it? The father and son team were incredibly patient with helping us decide. They would even be ready for us to change our minds on the day! We picked a color and lived with it for a week. Our final decision was to refinish it with a satin top coat. The two Rich’s did a magnificent job making our floors look like new while keeping the natural characteristics of the terracotta. They even created mock tiles where there was ugly cement. We must say, they are true professionals, reliable, incredibly talented and are so polite. The floors we used to think were so ugly are now our favorite feature in the new kitchen!“
