“Called them at 8:30am on a Saturday to replace a leaking pipe. They showed up within the hour and immediately got to work. Identified that the leaking pipe was part of the heating system and they helped me isolate it from the rest of the house water so that I could turn the main water back on. Pipe was replaced and they bled the radiator system within an hour. Don't yet know what the cost will be but I'll update the review once I get the bill.EDIT: Total was $266 with $240 in labor and $6 in materials. Note that they don't accept credit cards, only checks.“

“I am very grateful for Ranshaw helping me out of a horrible situation with my oil burner. I had purchased a new oil burner a month earlier with my oil company. Since it was installed it wasn't working correctly in starting and stopping continuously all day. That is called short cycling caused by an oversized oil burner. I tried to get my oil company to fix it but they said they couldn't do anything. I then called Ranshaw because I heard that even though they sold their oil company, they might help me because they are the best. They sent 2 highly trained professionals who did a full diagnostic on my oil burner and wrote down solutions for my original oil company to correct. They were able to figure out how to fix it and my oil company will do what they suggested. Many thanks to Ranshaw for helping me when no one else could. God Bless them! Thank You!“

“Our neighbor used Hoy plumbing in an emergency, and had nothing but good things to say about them. We figured in this case we would use them as well. I had a drain that started backing up slowly in my bathroom which did not respond to Drano alone. When they came, they told me what they discovered which was not a simple fix, but was not a difficult one either. Being as thorough as they were, they also went to check my lines to make sure that everything emptied out properly into the main sewer line, only to discover that I actually had two main lines. Joe, the owner, came over and inspected as well, and told me this was not uncommon especially when you have a septic tank conversion which may have happened many years ago. he went on to explain to me the history of the houses in the area, the plumbing involved with them, and the changes that have happened over the years based on the town inspectors. Needless to say I learned a lot about my house, as well as some of the history of why things function the way they do in my house. He obviously has a good amount of experience with older houses, and I'll be using them again when something else comes up.“
“Today I had Steve come and fix my drain of my tub and he came and solved the problem of when I would turn on the sinks the tub would back up. This is a great company who I highly recommend“

I called up Frank Marinelli Plumbing and Heating to dee if they could check things out for less, and the guy on the phone walked me through how I could do the work myself for a cost of about $10-15 bucks. That type of help and honestly is rare. These guys did not get a dime for the advice today, but next time I have a plumbing issue, I know who I’m going to call.“

“This business is amazing!When I first spoke to Ayshu and Gwen about the leaky outside faucet at the house I grew up in, but now rented in White Plains, they were very understanding of my concerns.I had received an outrageous estimate from another local company that my parents had used for years. The other plumber deemed a valve shut-off was necessary by the City of White Plains, and an excavation by one of their associate construction companies was required. The estimate was over $5000!My parents were school teachers in White Plains. My father worked with plumbers in the summer when school was out of session, and he cleaned furnaces. He built this house in 1963. I found it hard to believe a 60 year old house that had been well taken care of for the 50 years they lived in it could have fallen into such a state of disrepair.All-Self Plumbing listened to my story, and the owner- Bahru, promised to give me an honest estimate. “Quality of service was EXCELLENT. I would use this provider again if needed. As echoed in P.A.'s review, the pricing was quite high. Mike came in for about 15-30 minutes, with a helper, and ran his plumber's snake about 45' down from my 2nd floor kitchen sink, finding the blockage. He asked for, and got, $385 for the initial service (which was all labor, no parts). He was thorough and professional. He recommended other work which he wanted me to do immediately that would have added over $500 to the price (clarified that it was extra, not inclusive of what I paid him!) The PVC pipe work required - changing the pitch of a horizontal pipe under the 2nd floor sink, in addition to clearing the clog - would have cost over $800. If I was a union shop and Mike a union Master Plumber that might be fine. I'm not, and he's not (or at least didn't claim to be). For what it's worth, the work appears to be 100% necessary. We're just talking about excessive pricing (in my opinion...)“

“Con Ed shut down our gas on a Friday night at 6pm in below freezing temperatures. Not only did Frank call me back immediately (after hours) but he handled everything from filing for a permit to dealing with Con Ed directly - persisting with them while they dragged their feet so that he could help us get our gas turned back on and we could have heat in the dead of winter. He worked tirelessly to help us and replace the leaking pipes as quickly as possible while making sure everything was done so neatly, properly and up to code. He was extremely responsive and kept in constant contact to help us make sure our pipes didn't freeze (even loaning us an extra heater!) while we waited for Con Ed.
