“A big shout out to Ron & Katie in the Lancaster location. I’m snowbirding in NC and my frames broke on me. They were under warranty so I shipped them to the Lancaster office on a Saturday. They arrived on a Monday. Ron & Katie immediately changed out the broken frames for the new ones, inserted the lenses and Ron immediately walked them over to the post office for priority delivery. Glasses arrived on Wednesday and couldn’t be happier. Outstanding customer service by Ron & Katie and the entire Thomas Turtle team!“

“I've been going to Council Opticians since 1991( when I faked an eye exam bc my whole family had glasses but me) I got busted and didn't need them until 8th grade. I've gotten glasses & contacts from here. Along with my daughter and my husband. Yes, prices are different at every place you go but I don't want cheap garbage from Walmart. I go here bc I've always had a great experience with the owner & his staff. If there ever was a minor set back - things have always been taken care of in a timely manner. I highly recommend Council Opticians! Also depending on the glasses you pick, how many adjustments you have had, how you treat your glasses etc will determine how long they last. Please don't blame others for your bad day and how you mishandled your glasses. I have messed up my own glasses with hairspray and that's 110% on me* I would never blame the staff for my bad judgement while quickly getting ready for work.Council is a family run business and they are amazing“

“I went in to look for new frames for the near future. Ended up speaking with John who helped me figure out what to do with my current glasses. He adjusted them, had them adjusted when I was in Florida. Now they are so much better. Before he took care of me, I also overhead him explaining to another customer the different kinds of glasses/lenses she could get and I have to say the way he explained it was straight forward, professional. It can be confusing with all the different lenses, clarity options, transition options etc. He was considerate. Also, the woman at the front desk was very kind, asked me if she could help, and swung back later to make sure I didn't need anything.“

So many eye glass places are like meat markets and so commercialized, here you get treated in a calm, relaxed and personalized manner. I have multiple problems with my eyes and need precise lenses, the technician gets it perfectly right every time. I've had horrible experiences other places.“

“I did not purchase my glasses from Walmart vision Transit Road Williamsville but stopped in to ask that 2 pair of glasses be readjusted. I was waited on immediately by the manager (Maureen?) Who proceeded to fix both; the Ray Ban sunglasses were in real bad shape after I sat on them! She fixed both but when I asked cost she said no charge. I tried to tip her, but when refused. She was so pleasant! I will definitely go there the next time I need new glasses.“
