“Highly recommend VCA high peaks animal hospital!! We were driving into lake placid from out of state when our 15 1/2 year old yorkie had two seizures. We called here and they were about to close (6 pm Friday night). We explained our emergency and told them we were still about 20 minutes away and they said they would wait. Unfortunately, we had to put her down. They gave her fluids and made her comfortable so we could say good bye. They were very compassionate and loving. The closest other hospital open with emergency hours was an hour and a half away. We honestly don't know what we would have done if they did not wait for us. Thank you so much VCA High Peaks!!“
