I have to admit, I have gone to this place for about ten years, but the last time I went was the absolute last time I was going to let these hair dressers mess up my tresses. I went natural back in 2012. I took great pride and care of my hair and decided to experiment with color. I wanted to lift the my 1B hair color to a warm brown along with some highlights. I was confident that the stylist (her name was Louise and I let her do my hair before with no issue when I was relaxed) was capable of doing the job. She said she was going to use three box dye colors to achieve the look that I wanted. And Lord have mercy, she did not blend the colors. As a result, I had patches of white, yellow and brown encompassing my entire head of hair. This lady thought I looked great and believed she achieved the look I was aiming for. Absolutely not. I wanted to cry (I did cry, at home). The next day, I located a Fox and Jane in the city (like I was going to go anywhere near that neighborhood salon again) and they fixed the color. I was not about to go into work on Monday with two white patches on the sides of my head. Don't let these hair stylists convince you that your money was well spent because in all likelihood, it probably wasn't. And that was the last time I experimented with color. Moral of the story: Go somewhere else if you care about achieving a professional look on yourself.
I have been here a couple of years back and had to go back. The best years of my life. The energy they give. Music they play plus they offered me a drink which I hardly take. If you're thinking of getting my hair done. Just go. At least try it before you make a judgement to not go. The lady, Louis the owner, that did my hair, just reminds me of my mom, caring, sweet. Why wouldn't I go back. I don't see why not.
