I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone at Macken who helped with my grandmother's wake and funeral service. Their guidance was appreciated. From beginning to end, their staff was incredibly professional and thoughtful.

Macken’s went above and beyond in helping us to send our dad to his heavenly reward. Their kindness, compassion, and thoughtfulness was just so wonderful. Margaret did an outstanding job capturing my Dad’s image in a blanket for my mom ( she did not know that the blue of the blanket matched my dad’s eye color!!) and in framed photos for my brother and I. She also put together a great memory card that captured my dad’s love of numbers. Also we so appreciated Macken’s reaching out to the NYPD for us and also helping us navigate Calverton cemetery and assisting us in arranging for the Navy sailors who were a part of the burial ceremony. I am writing to share my family's very positive review of Macken Mortuary. My Aunt had been ill for sometime and had been staying with us in the Bronx. She wanted her services to be closer to home in Nassau as she lived in Long beach most of her life. When we called Macken and explained the situation, they were very understanding and handled everything. Apparently, there are rules about transporting between the counties that can get sticky. After handling the situation as sensitively as possible, the guys at Macken then set about helping us finalize the arrangements.
