Gail styled my hair today. CLEAVERZ was recommended to me by my son, a college student. We have had our hair styled at some of the top stylists in NYC. Some stylists will simply follow your directions, or not, adding nothing based upon their training and experience. Even worse is copying a style which may not suit your face. Gail gave value added by first examining my hair and making recommendations beyond my standard cut that I have requested for years. Style is a journey. I am confident that over the next several appointments Gail will help me to find the style that best suits me, rather than perpetuating the safe style to which I have become complacent. Her skills, experience, and good taste put her in a better position to suggest modifications than I can be. The haircut is well priced and full service-- wash, cut, hot towel and shoulder massage. The environment is low key and relaxed.

I was looking for a new nail salon after having a few awful experiences in the surrounding area. Best Kozy Nails had the most welcoming and professional staff. The salon is super clean, relaxing and spa like which is super important to me. I’m very picky about my nails and they did a great job. No shortcuts and they did not rush. I have been coming to Fantasy for years now and I have nothing but good things to say about them! I started off getting regular gel manicures then in the past year I made the switch to gel powder and it has been the best decision I've made. My nails last for 4-5 weeks and the only reason I get them done again is because my nails grow out! They are extremely accommodating and I haven't had to wait for any long amounts of time, they find a way to get you in and out which I appreciate. They also have a points reward card and when you rack up enough points, you can get a few different deals for both manicures and pedicures. Everyone is very nice there and they are all very good at what they do! I have recommended so many people here! I will forever be a fan of fantasy nails!

And so I saw some photos of Jet's work on social media, so I decided to give her and Anthony DeFranco Salon a try, and.... as long as I live nearby, I'll now never go anywhere else!Jet is a true artist and the best stylist I've ever had, anywhere, anytime, ever. Each time I go in for a haircut, I want something different to change it up a bit. Jet not only creates the style I want, but she markedly improves it so that it fits my face and "me" even better. I'm blown away (pun!) by her artistry. She is a true professional. Dr. RICK STATLER is an incredible Chiropractor. He has gradually alleviated most of the pain in my neck that came back after my last treatment, a surgical ablation and after a full year of different surgical treatments prior to the ablation. Dr. Statler is working on my lower back as well and has been able to not only relieve the pain temporarily but relieve the pain as we go through treatment for a longer periods of time in between seeing him. Dr. Statler is an incredible practitioner, and I could never believe that chiropractic medicine could ever help me with my conditions which are clearly diagnosed especially after having a negative experience with a chiropractor about 20 years ago and being told by my primary physician at that time, “I do not recommend chiropractors”. So much for putting a seed in someone’s head. I would recommend Dr. Statler to anyone who has an issue or anyone who has decided that there is nothing they can do other than surgery or to continue to live in pain and discomfort. I am in my 16th month of controlling chronic cervical compression and arthritis in my neck. My neck condition started in May of 2023 and within a 12 month period I had two epidurals, three trigger shots, three months of physical therapy and lastly, an ablation in my neck performed by Dr. Patrick Anello of Saint Francis Hospital in March of 2024. Nothing had worked up until that point, and the ablation was successful but the pain started to come back in May 2024 which was 3 months later. That’s when I started to see Dr. Statler. The epidurals were performed by a Dr. Quraishi of Northwell Manhasset (which hurt more than helped),the trigger shot injections and pain management care was provided by Dr. Robert Duarte Northwell Neuroscience Institute which helped my ongoing lower spine issues (since 2015) and my now extremely painful neck problems. I had originally been examined and diagnosed over a 10 year period Dr. Kevin Mullins, who is a top notch neurosurgeon least six times. Dr. Mullins diagnosis in no uncertain terms that for my lower back a L4 L5 fusion and laminectomy were needed. When I saw Dr. Mullins for my neck, he diagnosed it as I’ve already stated as having compression of the disks and arthritis. I’ve spoken to Dr. Mullins about avoiding surgery for my lower back and he told me that it’s my gamble because what happens over the course of these injury is not reversible. So getting back to Dr. Patrick Anello, who I give five stars to and the only MD and surgeon ever to tell me to see a chiropractor if the pain came back before the six month period of when I could have another ablation with insurance covering it. The pain came back three months later, and I found an incredible chiropractor who I cannot say enough about. Dr. Rick Statler is an incredible practitioner. He has alleviated all of the pain in my neck that came back and is working on my lower back as well and has been able to not only relieve the pain temporarily but relieve the pain as we go through treatment for a longer periods of time in between seeing him. Dr. Statler is an incredible chiropractor, and I could never believe that chiropractic medicine could ever help me with my conditions which are clearly diagnosed. I would recommend Dr. Statler to anyone who has an orthopedic or spine issue or anyone who has decided that there is nothing other they can do than surgery or continue to live in pain and discomfort.
We LOVE Island Vet Group! Everyone here is kind & caring. They give the best advice for care for our dog & are very thorough. Every doctor & tech goes above & beyond for our dog Daisy, even going as far as giving her shots on the floor because she gets nervous on the table. You can tell that everyone here loves their job & had your animals best interest at heart. They have taken care of my family’s dogs for years so we never questioned where to bring ours when we brought her home.
