My 16 yr old Pomeranian until I had to put her down and he was so great with coming in after hours after a trip and on the weekend. She went peacefully and quickly in my arms. “I, upon recommendation from a friend decided to reach out to Round Top Animal Hospital. My previous vets office of almost 30 years had taken a serious decline, with vets and fees during Covid, and my trusty vet had to leave. The vet is a distance from me but I always had travelled as I felt the care was superb. Before my call to Dr. Tuckers office I had called my ex vets office because my pup had an ear infection. On the phone I was told sure we can do an emergency visit for an extra $125.00!!! What??? So like I said on the advice of a friend I called Dr. Tuckers office and was given an appointment for a few weeks out. FF to today, I'm a new patient, my pup hadn't even been for his appointment but out of despair I called and explained the situation to the receptionist who informed me that they could get him in for an emergency exam today but it would be $20 on top of the normal exam fee, a very reasonable one. I had to ask again to confirm what I had heard. "Only $20 more for an emergency visit!! I'll take it. And my previous vet was charging $125 on top of the normal examine fee which was most certainly, not nominal. We arrived early waited a little so previous clients could be tended to and then we were promptly called into the exam room. The vet tech was superb, and asked pertinent questions. Shortly after Dr. Tucker arrived assessed the situation and administered some antibiotic ear drops. Made suggestions for his allergies and had already reviewed his chart from his previous vet. Discussed upcoming vaccines and sat on the floor with my baby to check him out. She is truly an animal lover as is her staff. And whilst I am aware of my dogs tendency to being on the, I get too many treats side and needing to lose weight, there was no reprimanding but a clever and smart way from the vet tech telling me that if he lost weight the expensive allergy shot would be reduced by so much. Also it's only 15 minutes from my house. To say that I was happy is an understatement, we rescheduled a follow up and left and when I got into my car I burst into tears because I was so relieved and happy to find a kind, caring knowledgeable vet that doesn't rip you off. And also knowing that my doggo is in the best possible hands. If you need a vet I can, without hesitation recommend Dr. Tucker and her staff hands down as being the best in the land of Columbia County, maybe even further afield. Thank you all.
