This place is great, everybody is so pleasant and friendly. Barbara is the best, she gives a gray color and highlights. If you need to find a good place to get your hair done you found it !! Also if your hungry there’s a small food court downstairs!

Got my bangs trimmed and my length curled and couldn't be happier. The hairdresser was sweet, friendly, helpful, and professional, and was able to get me an appointment less than half an hour from my call. I will definitely be coming back!

How have I been at Hofstra for 10+ years, and this is the first time I came here?! I heard from several students, colleagues, and my brother that the Hair Express salon was excellent, and that they've been going there for years - I'm so happy that I finally tried it out! I was in a bind and needed a haircut in two days because that was my only free day. I was nervous because I've heard that due to COVID, salons were taking weeks to make appointments. Hair Express was easily able to accommodate my short notice appointment request! **This is a professional salon! It's NOT run by students** Barbara was AMAZING! She took the time to get to know my hair care routine, asked where I parted it, last time it was cut, etc. She recommended I cut off 4 inches because my hair was super long and super dead at the end. She also recommended just a straight, blunt cut because I usually just straighten my hair, and it honestly looks so healthy and sleek now! This is located on the second floor of the student center at Hofstra University. I think the price is great for the quality you get. BONUS: They also do nails! COVID NOTE: Hair Express took all of the necessary precautions - Chairs/stations were distanced, cleaned in between use, and everyone had a mask on at all times. I felt very safe the entire time.
