“My wife and I just moved from Colorado and were desperately looking for a facility that obviously catered to our fitness needs but also felt like a second home. We found ALL of that at FitLife in East Islip. Not only is the gym in impeccable condition (I could eat off the seated squat machine) but the staff is beyond reproach, extremely friendly and an essential aspect of why we chose FitLife. The ability to make a couple feel so welcomed and at home after having their entire lives uprooted is an extraordinary gift and FitLife has that shot in the bag!! ?️“
“This is a place where I find my peace. It’s wonderful how good the practices have been to me physically, and especially mentally.“
“I joined my first hot yoga class today, and I would highly recommend this as someone new to yoga!! It was such a great experience, instructors are clear and easy to follow along with, and you are free to go at your own pace without judgement. I’m excited to go back!“
“Fox Dog Yoga is AWESOME! One of the only studios on Long Island with a Mysore style Ashtanga program. The owner, Harley, is so knowledgeable and makes her classes accessible to all levels of practitioners. They offer a variety of classes with a great team of teachers. Come for the yoga, stay for the cute pups and cozy cafe!“
“This is a yoga studio that cares! As a soon to be physical therapist in grad school, the techniques are flawless and shown to improve pain, and increase mobility through current research! There’s great deals and the atmosphere/people are so inviting to all ages! I leave feeling genuinely peaceful and as if a weight is lifted off my shoulders! Yogis of any experience level is welcome. The teachers take the time to get to know each person and give modifications to poses if you have an injury or it’s just too hard. I’ve gotten stronger and slimmer; the poses that were too hard at first has gotten easier and they find more ways to challenge me! I have LESS BACK PAIN, and BETTER CONTROL OF MY PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLES after a car accident. Jackie is the owner, (I believe), and she is so kind and always has an answer to everything! All of the instructors are so knowledgeable, kind, and they inspire you to live a better, more mobile life!“
“This studio and the community that attends it is warm and accepting. I can’t recommend it enough.“
“I am so eternally grateful to have this beautiful facility so close to home. It has been life changing! I highly recommend all programs and workshops. Some of my favorite are Michelle’s yoga class on Wednesdays, Sunshine’s inner child workshop, the meditation on Saturday morning and any of the sound workshops! Also Melissa is an absolutely wonderful therapist!“
“10/10 would recommend. Very nice staff and very helpful to someone who has not done yoga in years. Nice staff, great class, will come back again.“
“I’ve been seeing Linda for over a year now. I’ve been to other therapists before but my favorite thing about her approach is that when you need to be challenged, she will challenge you, she isn’t one to just justify you or agree with everything you say. She asks all the right questions, not leaving me to talk the entire apes soon. I’ve referred her to several people as I truly believe in her approach.“
“My experience has been tremendously more than I could have imagined. It is an experience that any person of any age will benefit from. Gina accommodates all practice levels, from beginning to beyond. Her guidance, support, along with the teachings of not just physical yoga, but for your spiritual senses as well, is just incredible. She is who you want to learn from if you are looking to create peace inside and strength outside. Her classes are fresh and new. Constant learning new variations. Her prices are reasonable, especially if you just want to try it out & see if it’s for you. I am 5 months in and look forward to each class.“
“Tried Yoga for the first time.Enjoyed it immensely. The owner, Roberta, made me welcome right from the start. Within minutes, I was a Yoga person!Very impressive place, absolutely spotless.I will definitely be back.“
“Essence of Yoga is not just a yoga studio. It is not just a business. For me, Essence of Yoga is a family. From the very first time I walked in the door, over 8 years ago, I felt like I was home. I was very hesitant, as it had been recommended to me during a very difficult period of my life and I said, " That's not for me. I can't do it. I don't like exercise. I'm not flexible. I won't like it." Well, here I am, over 8 years later, still practicing and can't picture life with out yoga, but more important my EOY family. From Shirley, the owner, to all the teachers, and the amazing fellow yogis that I have met here, it has become my happy place. I started the practice to relieve stress, not realizing the benefits to my body and spirit as well. Yoga is for EVERYONE!! There is no competition, no judgment, and most importantly, you will find a group of supportive, loving humans. There are classes for everyone and teachers always modify to meet you where you are. So please come visit Essence of Yoga. You will love it! ?♀️??“
“I had the best massage ever! Jimmy’s skilled hands worked out every knot and tension. The ambiance enhanced the experience. I felt like a new person and I am planning my next massage in the very near future.“
“The yoga and Pilates taught here has completely changed my life. Melissa is one of the nicest, hardest working and dedicated teachers I have ever known and I am so thankful for finding Satya. She is not only a great teacher and extremely well versed in the practice of yoga and Pilates, she is very generous and gives back to the community by helping others and showing her love and appreciation of animals!“
“Lovely place and beautiful studio space. The prenatal yoga classes are wonderful. Highly recommend!“
“Master LeeA little gem on Main Street. A sanctuary to heal and repair. She is graceful. She is playful. She is exuberant. She is full of vitality. She is humane. She is spiritual. She is grand. She has more than one trick under her sleeve. Her classes are fun, interesting and exciting. She makes you work. Did I say work? No! We release all the negativity and leave with peace and energy. The year passed in a blink with Master Lee. It is time to renew my yearly membership. If you haven’t discovered this heaven of peace and rejuvenation it’s never too late. I gained a strong body, serenity and happiness. Did I mention the friendships I’ve made? Priceless! With gratitudeI thank you Master Lee.“
“Great service, wonderful product line relaxing atmosphere and not over priced Deb rocks!“
“Lora Anderson is truly the best of the best. Her Acu sessions are more like spa sessions, but don't let that fool you. They work. She also usually adds Kinesiology to the mix! I recommend her to others no less than two times a week!!!“
“Wonderful! I have gone to Kathy for her yoga classes, both classes and privates, for years! I've gone to other yoga studios here and there but Kathy's is BY FAR the best, and the ONLY place I would go on Long Island! The yoga studio is located in a converted garage in her home - a little yoga oasis with a peaceful atmosphere and relating music upon entering. She is so knowledgeable and has about 40 years experience that she shares with her students. Whether you are more advanced or just a beginner she gears the class toward the needs of those attending, reminding them that there are multiple levels in the class - focus on your own body and not what your neighbor is doing. She has always made me feel extremely comfortable, no matter which level I was at, and there have even been one or two poses which my body just won't allow me to do, so she would give me an alternative to make sure the area of the body we were working on can still benefit. Her years of experience kicks in there! With her help I have grown so much in my yoga practice, which certainly helps as I get older and start to notice new aches and pains which yoga can help! She truly cares for everyone, available to discuss ANY questions afterwards (Over the years I've personally discussed questions about yoga, health concerns, diet options, motivation, etc. where her knowledge and experience was able to contribute and expose me to new options and ideas), and even offers a lending library of books for students who may be interested to read up on any particular topics as they explore yoga and health more deeply. I'll also share that when I first wanted to start yoga I didn't know exactly what I was looking for but that I'd know it when I heard it. I didn't want that "cookie-cutter" and "watered-down" yoga that you might find in gyms... I wanted the real thing. When I called Kathy and asked her about the classes she offers and how they were run, I could tell that she had tons of experience, an organization to her classes, and a personalization in making sure you try a class that's right for you and what you were looking for. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone reading this review and would say to CALL HER and LEAVE A MESSAGE to begin your yoga journey!“
“I usually frequent the Thursday night (6:45-8pm) Vinyassa session with Lisa. Always excellent, engaging and varied.“
“A small studio with a lot of class options, Simplicity is like a hidden gem with an unassuming storefront. They have a small crystal shop at the front, and in the back of the studio they have many class options. My biggest complaint is online you can't really tell what the classes are like if you don't know the lingo, but the instructors are super helpful if you ask! Parking is iffy since it's right on Main Street, but typically you can find a spot around the corner!“
“A raindrop session with Debbie feels like a million warm hugs. It was one of the most relaxing and restorative experience in my life.I flew in from NY to Debbie’s studio in Florida to enjoy a Raindrop session and it was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a way to relax, unwind and heal.“
“I walked into Metro in crutches and could barely get out of bed on my own. I just had knee surgery for the first time. Their bedside manner was top-notch. Not only did they have some of the most knowledgeable people working for them but everyone truly cared about my physical recovery as well as my mental as well.“
