I went to get my hair coloured and a cut. I called beforehand and was told for colouring for just single colour without highlight costs $75 and long hair cut for also $75, but at the end by paying the bill he told me colouring costed $160. it is more than twice as much the price I was told on the phone, and the reason he told me was he had to use more hair colouring cream/dye for my chest length long hair. It’s to me not reasonable. My bill came down to around $275 including the tip he asked! The stylst seems over 65 year of age and I ended up looking much older than my age with the style from the 70s. A treasure, pure and simple. Japanese stylists who know how to cut, shape and style. Their knowledge of nuances in hair texture, technical skill, attention to details, perfectionism - really unmatched in my lifetime. The cut is so good that as it grows out over the next weeks, it maintains its shape, angles, and style. Akane uses Japanese products to color hair as well, which are different (and less toxic) than other (Shige explained why to me, and it became more scientific than I imagined was possible).
