Kevin and David, the owners of The Barksville Inn, are lovely people. I have been taking my dogs (two rescues, 60lbs and 40lbs) to Barksville for several years now - my dogs go to "doggie daycare" once a week and I board my dogs at Barksville whenever I'm leaving town (including a 3 week stay). My dogs love being there, are excited when they arrive, and tired from playing all day when I pick them up. Kevin and David keep the dogs in the house and yard - the dogs have constant access to the outdoors - there are no crates or cages. It can be a bit rough and tumble on days when there are more dogs, so it might not be right for every dog (or every dog owner) but we love it. It is obvious that David and Kevin truly love the dogs and that makes a huge difference - this place is like leaving your dogs with a good friend who knows and loves your pets.
