“Bickford Landscaping did a wonderful job redoing our front plant beds and creating two new beds for us. We had quite a bit of trouble finding a landscaper who truly did landscape design, would, show up, provide a detailed quote and communicate with us. Robert did all of this and more. We felt confident hiring his company feeling that the work would actually get done. His crew came on time, got the work done in the timeframe indicated even though they worked with very challenging soil (mostly clay and rock), made it look amazing and provided us with care instructions to help ensure the plants would thrive. Robert is an excellent communicator which is rare, from our experience, with others in his field. Although we thought the quote was a little pricey, we felt Bickford Landscaping was the right choice and well worth the cost.

“TL,DR - Pearl Landscaping does Great work, they are responsive, answer your questions, actually show up when they say they will, and overall were wonderful to work with. Highly RecommendFrom start to finish the people at Pearl were amazing. But the main point I want to put forward is that there was a start. These people actually called us back and responded in a timely manner. They had to wait until Fall to do our project because we don't have irrigation. They didn't just say they would work on our project later and not call back. They called back unprompted and set up a schedule, answered all our questions, dealt with us making last minute additions to the project. I know landscapers are busy these days and we had called a lot of different companies but Pearl actually seemed to be nice. That's crazy that this is the standard that I go by but usually for any house project we will settle for people just showing up. “Dave Testo and company did an excellent job installing a patio and sidewalk, clearing brush to extend our backyard lawn space and hydroseeding (including topsoil, mulch and river stone). He also installed low voltage lighting all around our property that looks great, but is subtle thanks to Dave's recommendations. Dave was a pleasure to work with and his crew was on time, professional and friendly while working during a particularly hot period during the summer of 2022. “I highly recommend hiring Land Design, Inc. if you're looking for help designing and implementing plans for a landscape. We now know that they design hardscapes too, but I didn't find them until we started thinking about adding plants to the front of our house. We had just put in new front steps, a walkway, and retaining wall planters, so the space was pretty bare and lacking any life. I knew it would be a daunting task to research enough plants to cover the 300+ square feet of space, and not only find plants that would meet our needs (partial shade, deer resistant, low maintenance, etc.), but also figure out how to appropriately and attractively arrange them. The husband and I are (sometimes) do-it-yourselfers, and really liked the idea of the two hour consultation John offers. I did a fair amount of research and didn't find any other comparable service locally. The price was right, and we knew it would give us the flexibility to decide afterward if we wanted to have the work done or tackle the project ourselves. We were pretty impressed with all that the consultation included. John sat with us to go through his extensive database of plants, which includes not only the botanical information, but also pictures of the plants as they change through the seasons. The design was completely customized to meet all our needs and preferences, and we were included in choosing each plant variety and gave input on placement. John was extremely knowledgeable and professional, answered every question we had, and wrapped up the consultation appointment by taking measurements before marking the area with flags to indicate plant locations. We were also provided a comprehensive list of all the plants we'd chosen, again including the botanical info and photos, and emailed tips for planting if we wanted to do it ourselves. We asked for a quote to potentially have John do the work for us. There was a brief moment of sticker shock, but we quickly realized that the prices were market value, and it was well worth the cost to spare ourselves the tasks of sourcing, transporting, and of course planting everything. Not to mention the HOURS of research his consultation had already saved us. Side note: I also really appreciated the transparency of the quote. It listed the individual cost of each plant/ tree/ shrub and all materials, so it was clear where our money was going and how the price might be affected if we made changes to the plan. So, we sent the deposit and John was back to do the work about a week later. The project was wonderfully executed, and we really couldn't be happier. He again answered all our questions and gave us helpful advice for maintenance. He even came back the next day to put down grass seed, as it was unavoidable for him to walk through our previously seeded post-construction dirt while he was working. So, we are big fans. We might even invite Land Design, Inc. back next year when we tackle the backyard...“
