I've waited three years to post this review as Green Scene told me it would take a couple years for the flowers, shrubbery and bushes to fully bloom and blossom. Some have, some haven't. When they first furnished the quote to landscape our property, they provided full color pictures of what it would eventually look like. Those pictures, which I still have, look nothing like the end result. No vibrant reds or yellows. A lilac bush which refuses to blossom. We even watered the flowers and vegetation per their instructions. They did a good job laying paving stones around the pool area at the rear of the house and filling gaps with additional stone. But the front and sides of the house are just "blah." No beautiful, colorful flowers bursting forth like the promised photos. Green Scene charges top dollar for their services and we hired them based on neighboring residences and their landscapes. I expected a better result for the price I paid. Live and learn.

I really can't say enough great things about this company. We've worked with them on a number of different projects. Last year, they designed and installed a big landscaping and stone project for us. We couldn't have been happier. It was exactly what we wanted, communication was excellent, they were efficient, conscientious, competent and reliable. Partly as a result of that, we now have them mowing our lawn weekly. They do a fantastic job. They also now do our spring cleanup and mulching, and have the place looking great. I think one of the things which sets them apart from some other businesses in town is their communication. I always know that I'll hear back from them quickly, and that they'll stay in touch, and get the job done. They are more than willing to work with you, and help you get the design you want. I would recommend them to anyone, and plan to work with them indefinitely!

We hired Greenscene Landscaping to redo our stone walkway in Ithaca. The result is a beautiful stone path, but even more so the process was exceptional in several respects. The stone installers were incredibly intelligent and thoughtful. When they noticed that our (homeowner's) original request would leave too much slope on the walkway, they thought about and created a solution that both eliminated the slope and made for a much more beautiful stone walk, with huge stone blocks serving as additional steps. I love looking at these stone steps every time I come home. Greenscene also landscaped a very steep incline in front of our home and seeded the lawn. This replaced many divots, and holes and rotted railroad ties. The result is perfect. Because we so liked the stone path and the landscaping, we hired Greenscene to do our lawn mowing. They have been punctual and careful and have listened and responded to my requests. Greenscene also has done our snow removal this winter. I then saw something that I had never seen before: the snow plow guy got out of his truck and actually took a shovel and shoveled snow away from areas that his snowplow could not reach. That's amazing. It is for all these reasons that I've recommended Greenscene Landscaping to friends in Cayuga Heights, Ellis Hollow, South Hill and Cortland.
