I come here because that is where my stylist works. I've been with him a long time. He knows my hair and takes his time cutting it. I have thin, fine hair. Others would take half the time to cut it, and it wouldn't grow out right. They take walk ins but I always make sure he's available when I come in. My husband comes here now since his stylist works here too. We can both get our haircuts around the same time.

Review for Connie from the closed Chia Bin: A few years ago, I needed a haircut and happened to be in Flushing when I started looking at Yelp reviews. I saw the one regarding Connie and her English ability, so I went to find her. It turned out to be my wife's favorite cut, so my son and I became regulars even though we live in Manhattan. Because of the pandemic, I stopped travelling to Flushing for a while. In June 2021, I went to see a closed Chia Bin. Fortunately, I had Connie's number and called her. She came out to meet me and accompanied me to her new location at Oriental Stylist, where her usual days are Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday (8/15) was my second cut at Oriental Stylist after a two-month gap. Even though my hair was getting uncomfortably long, I resisted the temptation to go to nearby Manhattan Chinatown and waited until a trip to Flushing. Now my head feels so much better, and I realize I have to get to Connie more often!

My best friend usually goes there and referred me to the salon. I wanted a straight cut and Japanese straightening. The lady that cut my hair cut it to perfection exactly as I expected and the straightening last me a long time. Very satisfied on how much work she put into my hair. This review in for 2016.As for an update I went to this salon after 4 years. My hairdresser Jason, cut my long hair and did a great balayage on my hair. Although, he dosent speak a lot of English he was able to communicate with me about what I wanted. He was very meticulous in his work. Attached are the pics of my hair.
