“I have been training at Jiu Jitsu Modern for alittle over three months now, in that time I have had an incredible experience. I recently moved to the Babylon area and do not know many people, but Jiu Jitsu Moderns has changed that. Not only have I gained confidence in my abilities, but I am now apart of an amazing community of people that push me to be the best version of myself. If you're looking to start training jiu jitsu and your in the area, Jiu Jitsu Modern is the place to go.“

“My daughter and son ( Penelope and Luke) attend classes here and we cannot say enough good things about it! They are learning so much and gaining strength and confidence along the way. The people are wonderful and welcoming. We would highly recommend Goshinkan Jujitsu Dojo!!“
“Seong is the best instructor!!! I learned so much from him and he really broke down the basics for me! I can’t wait to bring my friends!!! So excited for the next class !!!! I recommend everyone to take his class!!“
“Amazing teachers who truly teach and live the martial arts kung fu lifestyle. Instructors Rik and Shue are two of the most honorable, ethical, generous and compassionate people I know. I wholeheartedly recommend this school to anyone looking to make themselves the best they can be, and especially for children who will benefit immensely from these vital skills as they navigate our challenging and ever-changing world. Ten Tigers Kung Fu will provide them with a strong foundation for future success.“
“My kids have been going for a little over two years and we love them! They are located in an outdoor mall so there's parking available. The Masters are all great with the kids; very supportive, encouraging, lively, while instructing and guiding the children so they enjoy the class. There are some new kids that come that may be reticent in the beginning; but the Masters quickly get the kids smiling and participating. You can tell they put their hearts and all into each class to make it enjoyable for the kids. They offer sibling discounts as well. And they also have sparring classes.“
“Our family has been part of the Tiger Shulman’s Huntington studio for 2 years. This experience has been beyond my expectations of when I first sat down with Sensei Castillo to talk about enrolling my child. At the time I was thinking ‘This will help my child face the bus bullies’. Two years later, I can see that what Sensei has given my family goes way beyond my first thought. My review is lengthy. Here are the highlights:1) Sensei Castillo is a truly gifted and exuberant instructor. His energy, wisdom and love permeate the entire studio.2) I have seen my child grow physically and mentally. This new growth is manifested in and outside the studio. In a nutshell: my child is genuinely thriving in life.3) This studio has a warm and welcoming community. And it is spotless clean.5) I was inspired to join the studio and I love it.This studio is owned by Sensei Castillo. He deeply cares about every single person that walks into his studio. This includes all his students and their parents. Moreover, Sensei expertly oscillates between his young students and his older students, keeping his energy constant and to the level of his student. Among the many valuable traits Sensei has is true genuine discipline, which radiates throughout the whole studio. He leads by example. He leads with true love. And he holds the bar deservedly high for everyone to rise and thrive and feel proud. I have seen my child become more mature and attain more self-control and self-love. This was illustrated when my child shared with me how to persist in a difficult physical game: “I kept telling my body positive things to keep going.” These words solidified our commitment to maintain our child learning with Sensei.Sensei micromanages his entire studio. It is impeccably clean and organized. His coaches are trained and monitored by him to preform like him teaching his students. He also is the studio manager, membership administrator, and schedule coordinator. The studio culture is warm and welcoming. Everyone says hi and are happy to see you. It is almost like the show Cheers, but with punching bags. And this is what inspired me to join the studio. My child inspired me to try this studio. Here is how this unfolded for me. I have been active my adult life participating in a plethora of fitness programs. At this point in time something was missing in my fitness need: a sense of community. When I first tried a kickboxing class, I felt so inadequate and weird, and embarrassed. I am a fit person, but I was surprisingly uncomfortable in the studio with other students. So, after that first class I did not go back. Sensei let me be. He was gently waiting on the mat for me to be ready to come back. Months passed by and an email came announcing a 60 day challenge. And with the mind set of “I am changing to be uncomfortable” I returned to the mat to embrace the uncomfortable. Oh boy, I stink at this kickboxing thing. I am the most uncoordinated person in the world, and it takes me a long time to teach my limbs how to move. But, in this new uncomfortable space I have found growth. And I love my adult beginner kickboxing class. First, Coach Antony is a good fit for me. He is a baseball athlete, and he does excellent explaining and demoing the moves. Second, it is at 6 am. I love starting my day punching and kicking and then I can go on with my day and not have to think about: “I have to do my workout”. And my classmates are a pleasure to train with and I look forward to seeing them and punching with them. And it is quite refreshing to do an activity that has a lot of male energy. In summary, this martial arts studio is a gem. Children and adults convey on the same mat to learn and teach the art of being peaceful, which comes when you can defend yourself and hold your ground. Moreover, this studio is populated with members that deeply care for each other and are constantly nourishing their growth as individuals in the community. This studio empowers their members to thrive on and off the mat.“
“Best place to train jiujitsu out there. 100% recommend. Best prof you will learn fast and learn from the best. Good environment to train in.“
“I would definitely recommend! My son has been going each week since September and loves it so much. His strength has definitely improved and has gained so much confidence. The instructors have been amazing as well.“
“My daughter has been attending classes at Champions for more than a year. We are all very pleased with experience so far. The facility is well-maintained and clean. The instructors are not only knowledgeable in Taekwondo but are also fantastic with the kids. Also, I have seen positive changes in my daughter since she started attending classes. One of them is her increased self-confidence. I am thankful for the positive impact the experience has had on her. I highly recommend this school to parents in search of a martial arts program for their children.“
“My son has been taking the classes for a year and he loves it. Great teachers and they always have different activities for the kids to do. They’re always promoting good mental and physical health and during this times is nice to find a place where my child can get that and also learn self defense.“
“Masters Martial Arts is an excellent place for kids to learn tae kwon do. They also work on flexibility, strength, and agility. Mental toughness, memory, self-esteem are also aspects that improve as well. Master Mike sees the best in each child and knows how to encourage them to strive to be better.“
“This is the best karate place ever since I was a kid even though I done with it I still love the sensei how they teach me do karate“
“This is a wonderful martial arts school. Chris Gates and all his instructors are highly competent. They emphasize respect, humility and confidence in all their students.“
“I had a great time at the dojo, and I loved being there, until I went out in a rage. I have been planning to come back to No Fear, It’s just that cannot handle the shame of going into the dojo again, and possibly ruin my reputation in the karate world even more, and also if I move on to another dojo, If the scenario does happen, It would feel wrong to compete against a dojo I was once part of in a competition. I will come back someday, and learn from my mistakes. (Edit: I never did come back...)“
“Anthony is very respectful, made me feel at home in his Dojo.I didn't train there for Martial Arts but took my CCW class certification here love the setting, very clean and comfortable would recommend this school just off the strength of the attitude and environment.. Thanks Arango“
“Everything about this place is amazing. They are so accepting to everyone from everywhere, skill level, age, or ability! The training is good and effective. The atmosphere is clean and not overwhelming. One hundred percent recommended for anyone looking for a good martial arts place!“

“Great little hidden gem of a dojo where its not about the money or the ranks first but traditional Japanese Shotokan. Techniques and count offs spoken in Japanese. Very detail oriented. Kids classes and separate adult classes. Not a mcdojo.“
“Grand Master Choi is an excellent teacher who pays attention to every child's unique needs. He motivates them and continues to instill self confidence.“
“I have been training at this school for years, most of my life in fact, and I've had some of the greatest moments of my life in this school. I learn more and more every class and have a great time doing so. I've made many friends whom I'll never forget, and I've learned many things I'll never forget. This school is absolutely excellent.“
“My son is in the tiger kids program. So this will be based off that. The patience, dedication, and discipline are great for an active 5 year old. Master David is incredible with the kids. He makes every child feel seen and important. He teaches confidence, stranger danger, respecting your family, self defense. You get to watch your child practice these skills through a big wide viewing window. There are benches to sit on. If you have trouble with your back or knees, the benches might be hard to sit on or climb. The place is very accommodating, patient, and friendly. He does a wonderful job with students who need extra guidance as well as special needs persons. Highly recommend to anyone.“
