“I called Taconic after a very long 2 years dealing with the company that installed my Carrier air condition and gas furnace. The company that installed my system was a local company out of Harrison NY, (Evolution HVAC) but I realized that they didn’t have the slightest interest in getting it to work properly. Many issues with the furnace went uncorrected to this date.Fast forward 2 years and a lot of grief, emails that weren’t returned and phone calls that weren’t answered.I called Taconic and spoke to Linda who was very friendly and made you feel like you knew her for years. She dispatched Omar the next day who was an “outstanding tech” who left no stone unturned and found the problem with my furnace. My greatest admiration goes to this company and above all Omar who is a credit to his company for not only finding the problem, but in the way he worked explaining everything he was doing as he was doing it. “Paul was very thorough in explaining our options. They provided top tier products at a very competitive price. When the heat load calculation came back higher than expected, the additional equipment needed (which increased the work load) was extremely reasonable.The crew was terriffic! They did an excellent, neat job. They were very accommodating in some minor changes. There is a lot of equipment involved, and they did as concise and neat a job laying it out and installing it as I could have asked. The job took about two weeks and they were on time every morning and cleaned up at the end of each day.The heat pump mini splits are a very different experience from the hot water radiators we were using. It's only been a few days, and we're learning how best to use them for our needs. My wife had been concerned that they would not heat the house as effectively as the huge, cast iron radiators. That has not been the case! We have more of an issue overheating. Paul has been a great help guiding us, and I'm sure that our heating struggles on the coldest days are in the past.One final thing- get the optional Wi-Fi control and remote sensors. They are a little pricey, but we have 6 head units running on two condensers over two floors. Being able to check the temperature throughout the house before getting out of bed is much better than having to go room to room with the remotes.“

He found a dead mouse that shorted out the capacitor that caused the short to the outside compressor. How MANY AC companies would come over not only the SAME DAY but came late at night. He came over at 7:30 AM on Sunday August 16, 2020 cleaning the filters that was clogging the unit. He also didn't charge for the service saying it was under warranty.. Elmer is a very well trusted AC and heating company and for this kind of service more customers should trust him.. He also came over with his mask and gloves making sure that he complies with all Federal and State laws and regulations regarding this pandemic. I was surmised and surprised that my dear friend looked like an AC robber with his masks and gloves. “Tom and Olympic Heating did a Herculean job. I was told my Central Air Unit was broken and I needed to replace both the compressor and the air handler for a lot of money - which we didn't have at the time. I was told this by several companies. Tom said, our units were good units and could probably be repaired - he came out and sure enough was able to fix it. Then they came out to do full maintenance, and releveled the units - and we have Central Air working again. I can't thank them enough. I highly recommend their services.“

“I have used R&M for many years. The first time the owner came over years ago for a second opinion. A different company said I need to replace a 9 year old HVAC costing $10,000. R&M took a look and ended up fabricating a part and it ended up costing $1,500. I realized then they would be the company I would be using going forward. That unit is still working 13 years later. They have done many repairs and also installed a new HVAC unit. They have been very responsive on many occasions. I have a 93 year old Mother living in the house, and losing AC in the middle of the summer is quite scary. They are very processional and honest.
