Kayla is very good. I showed her a picture of the style I wanted and she nailed it. She also cuts and colors my granddaughters hair and my grandson's haircuts, which she always does an excellent time
To whom it may concern (curly haired people might be most interested): I moved to this area 20 years ago. For most of my adult life, I kept a very long hair style mostly due to my natural curl (need to have length for weight for "control" and "stretch" of the curl). It is not easy to find people who know how to cut naturally, quite curly, hair; so when a mistake is made, it is one that must be "lived with" longer than anyone wants to. This is a critical factor. Seeing a nurse for a doctor treating a dear senior friend I'm primary caregiver for, I could see instantly the attention to detail, the talent and creativity, and SKILL on one head of hair. I had to know who did it! It wasn't a style right for me, but it was perfect for this young woman. I have naturally curly but very fine hair and am in my mid-fifties now...so, gray is coming in - some little "shocks" and peppering definitely there, even if hidden under dark brown longer covering the silver bits. My hair was down to my waist when wet before I had enough and wacked it off a few years ago on my own in an emotional need for FREEDOM from the work and time involved in managing all that. Somewhat isolated, and super busy with caregiving, I just cut it myself (with the help in the back of my senior male care-recipient) for years. It was time for balance, evening out, true management and real care for ME. Meeting Crystal, and then THERESA whom Crystal referred me to, was a God-send. Anyone can chop and pop a hat on a head, right? I have been a professional hair stylist and a Hollywood and International level professional as a makeup artist to stars, celebrities, models and actors on every level for 25+ years. Living in this small town and rural area for 20 yrs with a change of lifestyle for my health and more took me far away from access to the "best of the best." Finally, I think I've found a place here where I am listened to, my own ideas and thoughts are respected, and a true collaboration can occur... and it did...and at a fair and "happy" price to all. Theresa accomplished exactly what was needed and wanted. Low maintenance, quick "management" (to almost none), and an ENHANCEMENT of my own hair's natural qualities and assets with a graceful and realistic, practical and healthy focus on such an incidental as "hair" should be to life. I told Theresa I wanted the ability to vary the style according to my mood, situation, the weather and more...all while aging gracefully and avoiding artificial coloring, etc. Well, SHE DID IT. I cannot be happier. I've hired and fired some of the "best hair people" internationally, and so far, with my first experience with Sublime and Theresa there (referred by Crystal, whom I'm so grateful to), I feel I have a safe place to go to for my naturally curly, graying (now) short hair. Hair should not be a "stress" for ANYONE. If it is, the right cut and care has not been applied. My life is complex, and I need a cut and ability to style that will rise to each and every occasion so that I can remain unselfcounscious and stay in true balance. This gives me freedom to focus on what most needs to be focused on, and without having to "check my look in the mirror," which to me equates to vanity - and that is something I abhore. Personal expression should be about an enhancement and honoring of one's natural expressions and gifts - not about artificial, fake and over-done, high-management "styling." Color for FUN, if you will, but not to "cover up" who one is. That's just my sincere feeling. Everyday when I wake up for another day, I'm not readying myself for a presentation or performance - I'm simply presenting an honest expression of who I am for what is needed, and "preening" is NOT MY STYLE. Thank you, Sublime, and Theresa in
Friendly and highly competent staff. Jennifer always gives me a classy cut. She is extremely creative and talantef. Jamie always takes the best care of my nails. My nails always look fantastic.
