“Where do I begin to describe the superior service that I received from Michael J Grant Funeral Home? I had preplanned my mother's funeral a year and a half ago. I found the service initially to be respectful and fairly priced. But the moment of truth came when my mother passed, this event began to take on an even more concentrated and respectful treatment. All of the staff paid attention to every request and detail. Everything about my mother's funeral was done with such personal and loving treatment. My greatest desire was that the funeral would convey the love and respect that my mother deserved. My Mother looked really beautiful and it was befitting of who she was. The prayer service was really meaningful and it was a tremendous relief that I had nothing to worry about. The owner, Michael J Grant, oversaw every detail right to the very last moment when we got to Calverton so my Mother could join my Father. I never anticipated the high degree of personal and professional treatment. I am truly grateful for how this day turned out and I'm completely certain that my family felt exactly the same way. “It is obvious when a loved one passes away that there is stress and concerns by the family. So many things to handle and manage along the way. In our case we had pre-planned a service for a family member. When the time finally arrived, the staff handled everything. All we had to do was literally show up. During the wake, we needed a few adjustments like additional prayer cards. They had them prepared within the hour.<br><br>Shout out to Thomas and the entire team, these people know how to show empathy and manage change on the spot. We had a special needs person in our group. You would think she was a member of the staff the team was so gracious and welcoming to her. More importantly, they were able to adjust their approach to make a person in this situation feel at ease with the process itself. As a result we have had less stress in the aftermath with her ability to deal with the loss.<br><br>In closing out, I highly recommend them and will utilize there services again but I am NOT in a rush to do so!!“
