After going an embarrassingly long time without seeing a dentist, I made an appointment for a cleaning and evaluation for a toothache with Dr. Swalsky. The cleaning was great — friendly staff, no judgment, much more comfortable than I remember it being in the past. Unfortunately, the sore tooth needed a root canal.

I had that root canal yesterday, and it was so much easier than I had expected. They do root canals right there in the office. Getting a root canal isn’t fun, but it isn’t a nightmare, either. The facilities are large, clean, and beautiful. Every time I come in for an appointment, I'm blown away by the shortness of my wait (I have never waited longer than 5 minutes, and the time I did wait 5 minutes was only once so very out of the ordinary!) and the affability of ALL the staff. Every person I come in contact with is so kind and seems truly joyful. This last appointment, I remember thinking how they all seem so happy to be there at work. They do very well to put me at ease, and have never once made me feel shameful or guilty for my many dental issues. They're so informative, and very clear with all their information. I was so impressed with Half Moon Family Dental! The waiting room is comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, and my root canal was surprisingly painless. Even the cleaning was gentle. Highly recommend!
