My neighbor hired Augustus for a major home renovation project back in July and it's still ongoing. While it can be expected that there will be banging and sawing and all the other sounds associated with a big project, their crew isn't professional at all. One employee, let's call him 'Mouth' - and if you're familiar with this crew, you know exactly who I'm talking about, - is one of those brash, loud types who constantly yell-talks as if he's communicating with someone down the street. You can actually hear him from down the street! While this is super annoying, the real problem is the staggering lack of professionalism. At one point earlier in the project he called a male coworker princess, then called him a f*g. 'Mouth' apparently doesn't have a filter. Nor does he have any social awareness. He treats this work site as if there's no one living in the neighborhood where he is currently working. Not only that, but I just had the privilege of hearing to him reply, "I'd pay to f**k that!" when talking to a coworker about a woman -this, yell-talked loudly in an otherwise peaceful neighborhood of retirees, veterans with ptsd, young professionals, and young children. Lack of professional awareness isn't the only problem. It's taken them 2 weeks to put the siding on the house and it still isn't done. In fact, there are spots where siding has gone up and they didn't put down a layer of insulation. They also appear to have removed the chimney and patched the hole with different shingles that aren't laying flat. There are a number of other quality concerns about their work. Lastly, there are little, yet important things. Augustus' crew has also routinely taken over an adjacent neighbor's driveway, blocked other driveways, double-parked and obstructed traffic. If you're looking for a construction crew for a project, I'd highly suggest you look elsewhere if you want respectful, hard-working professionals who understand not only how to work hard, but work smart, and who know what it means to be professional.
