“Franklin, Miguel and the team at Prestige Line Contracting were an absolute pleasure to work with. They are the contractors for the next generation. Tired of dealing with hyper masculinity and unpredictability? Well, look no further. I'm a professional singer, so I don't do early mornings, so they were so understanding and accommodating in starting later at 9am when most other contractors would turn their backs. I also use my home as my place of business and have voice students, so Franklin smartly suggested sending a GANT chart with the day to day plan so I had advance notice when it would be noisy and when to reschedule my voice students. They also do immaculate work and are super communicative updating on progress daily. Also, as a female, I did not feel one ounce of attitude or condescension. I know that's something many females get from male contractors these days. They were always so respectful, professional and communicative and I felt as though I could ask as many questions as I wanted without receiving an attitude or feeling like I was annoying. Lastly, it's a family business and Franklin works with his father, Miguel, so he can pass down generational knowledge and wisdom on the job. They are truly what every contracting company should be!“

“We are thrilled with the amazing work of Alex and his team!!! As new homeowners, we discovered we had to replace a long stone retaining wall lined with raised garden beds along our property, as it was buckling due to age and improper drainage. After obtaining multiple quotes from different contractors, we chose to go with AK Paving, and we're so happy we did. Not only were they willing to work within our budget to achieve what we needed to do, but they also explained everything, answered all our questions promptly, arrived on time and completed the work within the timeframe they estimated--all while doing an incredible, quality job tearing down and rebuilding the whole wall. Alex's team even went over to our next-door neighbor's house--as his fence is only a half foot away from the retaining wall--to explain their rebuilding plan and reassure him they would not to disturb his plantings on the other side of the fence. Our neighbor was so impressed and thrilled (and they did take great care not to disturb any plantings, he confirmed :) They also removed all the garden bed materials (which were sadly rotten) and stone from the original wall and left everything clean and beautiful. “I started working with Marco, Mike, and their team at Continental in early 2024 for a major basement project in Yonkers. Our home is a ranch-style house with a crawlspace that stretched about half the length of the home. We wanted to excavate that space and convert it into a fully functional basement apartment, including a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room, a separate entrance, and interior access to the first floor.

We hired them to:

- Excavate the basement crawlspace and extend the foundation footings
- Remove existing brick piers and steel girders and replace them with an LVL beam
- Pour a new slab
- Cut out and install new windows and window wells
- Build an exterior stone staircase with a new basement entrance
- Regrade the yard to accommodate the new doors and windows
- Install a new interior staircase to the first floor
- Frame the new basement apartment

From start to finish, working with Continental has been a pleasure. Marco was easy to communicate with and provided clear, detailed quotes at each stage of the project. We compared quotes from eight other general contractors, and not only was Continental one of the most competitive, but Marco also demonstrated a solid understanding of the complex foundation work involved. There were no surprise change orders — Marco was transparent throughout. Every inspection was passed on the first try.

Continental always left the work space clean. When an existing chimney used by our furnace needed to be removed, Continental's workers sectioned of other parts of the house so that dust was contained. They also swept and vacuumed after every major leg of the project.

Continental's stonework is very nice too. We had an existing stone retaining wall removed and remade to run along the house's main staircase. Continental matched the stone laying pattern and made the new wall look seamless. They also installed stone veneer that matched existing stone on the home around the window wells and new exterior staircase leading to the basement. All additions match the style of the home perfectly.

Marco was also very accommodating. When a stud wall was found to be slightly out of square, his team corrected it promptly and at no additional cost. When our original engineer became unresponsive, Marco even recommended an alternative architect who helped keep the project on track.
