Sam has designed and executed plans for my Brooklyn backyard container garden for two consecutive years now and the results, without fail, are spectacular. His time in my backyard transformed it from what was essentially an empty space with little personality, to a vibrant haven in which I now enjoy spending time during the warmer months. It is obvious from the way Sam discusses and carries out his plans that not only is he passionate about landscaping, but also he has diligently studied his craft. To top it off, he is professional and communicative, he seamlessly incorporates my feedback in his designs, and he is always a joy to be around.
Sam did a garden consultation with me in my backyard and was SO helpful and knowledgable. The yard has a strange layout with a few constraints, and he had so many creative ideas for how to make the most of the space. He had suggestions for taking advantage of vertical space, containers, and window boxes that had never occurred to me before, and have opened up new possibilities for creating additional green space. In addition to helping me visualize a new garden layout, he had great ideas for plants that will thrive in shade, which I had always thought of as a drawback in a garden. After meeting with Sam, I have a renewed excitement about this season's gardening!
sam did a truly special job with our backyard-- he even helped us with our house plants! always gets right back to me when i have questions, no matter how small. he is a great guy, very down to earth but also extremely knowledgeable, he would throw around the latin names of plants like it was no big deal. very detail oriented
