They used to have a nice guy in there around 10 years ago, but the person now is a nightmare. I paid him $40 to dye a brand-new pair of flat sandals, and to fix the heels, which were loose. He gave them back to me and my feet got cut up because he drove the nails in the heels through the insole. I brought them back to him and instead of fixing them gratis, he charged me $10 to fix the heels so the nails were not protruding. I took the shoes home in a bag last fall as I was recovering from surgery. I am a disabled senior. I dropped a pair of heels off on a Wednesday for a simple repair and told the shopkeeper numerous times that I needed them for an event on Saturday evening. He ASSURED me they'd be done in time. I showed up Saturday at 5pm (they close at 6) and they were not finished. The man behind the counter (different man) kept telling me to come back tomorrow even when I told him I needed them for an event in an hour. He was very rude and initially refused to even return the shoes to me and flat out refused to give me my refund (I prepaid, stupidly.) Im frankly shocked and appalled that a business like this exists in this neighborhood. Be warned and do not take your shoes here.

I took the shoes home in a bag last fall as I was recovering from surgery. I am a disabled senior. I took them out of the bag in April to wear them, and I saw that he gave them back to me with one of the heels missing. The heel was nowhere in the bag or in the closet and I never wore the shoes. I brought them into the store and he refused to fix it. I asked him for his Consumer Affairs license and he became belligerent and began yelling at me, cursing me. He slammed the door on me and would not let me back in the store. When I went back in again and tried to see his license # on the wall, he tore down the license sign! He was screaming and threw my bags out of the store, menacing me only inches from me, as if he were going to hit me. This is a brutal, disrespectful, and misogynist guy who does incompetent work and is a ripoff. Do not patronize!
