“On March 6th, 2024 my mother passed away. I was lost. I had never been responsible for making funeral arrangements. I asked my daughter and her mother-in-law to help me. I had been to many funerals in my life, but I was not impressed with the funeral services in the Bronx. Not for my Mom. We went online. I wanted to patronize a black-owned funeral business. We came across Williams Funeral Home, and based on the name, we assumed it was black-owned. It wasn’t. But thankfully we sat with the staff and discussed the process. The staff members were very informative, very compassionate, and truly professional. Prices were very reasonable. The facility was clean and neat. The floral arrangements that we purchased through the funeral home were absolutely beautiful.
While we were making arrangements for my mom, I received a call that my cousin passed away. Same day. Williams Funeral Home listened to our wishes, respected our spiritual background, and put together two remarkable funeral services, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. The beautiful services took the sting out of such a sad occasion. I will recommend William’s Funeral Home to anyone who asks. It is definitely the place now for my family. “During our time of grief, planning a funeral for a loved one is extremely difficult. My mother pre-planned her funeral with Lee's Funeral Home and the one thing I learned from Lee's Funeral Home is never judge a book by its cover. The waiting room is outdated but the service is impeccable, honest, warm, comforting and calming. Jennifer took us through every step, showed us what my Mother had chosen, asked if we wanted to change anything...we didn't. A staff member came in and asked us questions about Mommy, which made us remember the little things and we were presented with a tapestry of her life that truly brought a smile to my face. Lee's took great care with Mommy, gave her dignity every step of the way...she looked peaceful and beautiful. Lee's was also able to provide some options for a caterer in the area for the repast. They put together a bag at the end of the service with the cards from the flower, the sign in book, the additional programs and the cards, and the tapestry. We didn't need to go look for anything or gather stuff, they had thought of everything!!! I'm not sure I have completely conveyed how great Lee's Funeral home is but I am giving it my best effort. I thank them for taking care of my mom and in turn taking care of the family. If the star scale went to 1000, that is what I would give them.“

Balsamo Funeral Home has always handled all of my extended families arrangements, so it was only natural we would use them for my mom. The service, dedication and compassion we received, was exceptional! Every detail, everything we needed, everything we requested was handled with the highest quality. We requested my mother to look as natural as possible since she never, ever wore makeup or had her nails done. They did such a beautiful job. It's not an easy request to fulfill because makeup is necessary when dealing with someone who has passed. The way they ushered my mother into the church was also nicely done.
