About Showtime Unisex Beauty Salon

Showtime Unisex Beauty Salon, located on 121st Street in Harlem, has a long history as the Original House of Weaves. The salon is known for its unique styles, but experiences vary among customers. Some have encountered stylists with attitudes, leading to frustrations when requesting services. I've been to this place a few times. It seems to be Black owned. What comes with that is stylist with attitudes. I walked in the last time asking for someone to shape my hair. There was another stylist who seemed to have a bad attitude when I asked her if she could do my hair she didn't even answer me. She just had a nasty look on her face. So I asked another stylist she said if I waited a bit she'd do it for me. My hair was all natural and I wanted it shaped. Well she did a treatment on my hair"silk treatment and my hair was long. I showed her the style I wanted. She turned me away from the mirror and I trusted her. I should've never let her touch my hair. When she finished I had no hair. I was done there was nothing I could do with it after. To make matters worse it was at the end of the summer. I'd never let my hair be that short. Tracy made me sick to my stomach til today that was September past. Everytime I think of it I get angry.

Ok so I really wanted and needed someone to do my hair at this point didnt care what it was. So because I was at Lincoln Hosp & remembered my old back in the day salon Elisas, but had no idea if this place was even open I googled it and yes I saw OPEN & flew right down the block to find my moms friend in the chair getting Fingerwaves, exactly what I had settled on. Years ago this place was on fire in a good way always busy good stylist the owner Lisa was so cool! So I was hoping nothing hadn't changed. Anyway her stylist Nadine gave her the smaller waves which were very nice and I got the larger ones which I was satified with. But upon returning I will hve my hair Pixied...read full review
